Title: The Body that Becomes a Temple
Contents
Verse 13, Passover - It is a day that reminds us of the night of the Exodus. It is the day they were saved from slavery in Egypt. This is the beginning of announcing that we have become the Lord's people who serve only God. The beginning of a truly new life for us too is from the moment we confess Jesus as our Lord.
Verse 13, Ascending to the Temple - As the Passover approached, Jesus went up to the temple in Jerusalem. There is a temple that they are proud of. In the past, when Israel walked in the wilderness, He made the tabernacle to be built and led them to the Promised Land. A sanctuary was placed inside the tabernacle so that we could experience the presence of God. He also appointed priests to enter the Holy of Holies, where the blood of the Lamb paid for their sins. They experience God in the tabernacle and have a wonderful experience of restoring their wrong lives. Also, I was able to live my life with new strength by praying in the temple there for the pain and wounds I felt in my life. For them, the temple is a symbol of God's presence and a place of life.
Verses 19-22, "Destroy this temple, and I will raise it up in three days." After he was raised from the dead, the disciples remembered these words and believed the scriptures and the words that Jesus had spoken.
Verses 23-25, many people saw Jesus as a miracle and followed Jesus, but Jesus did not attach his body to people's popularity. Because he himself knows everyone. I hope that we too do not depend on people's stories, circumstances, experiences, etc., but only believe in the word of the Lord. Our Lord knows everything within us.
(1 Corinthians 3:16) “Do you not know that you are the temple of God and that the Spirit of God dwells in you?”
(1 Corinthians 3:17) “If anyone defiles the temple of God, God will destroy him; for the temple of God is holy, and so are you.
(1 Thessalonians 5:23) “May the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely, and may your whole spirit, soul and body be kept blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Tomorrow is the 91st anniversary of verse 3.1, independence from what, and dedication to freedom?
