<Elihu's Misunderstanding of Job>
While Job himself only said that he was "righteous and innocent of the great iniquity," Elihu says that he claimed that Job was "clean from all sins and sinless."
(Job 33:8-11) Truly, you have spoken in my hearing, and I have heard your voice. He seeks me, and regards me as his enemy, (11) He puts my feet in stocks and watches over all my ways.
What did Job say?
(Job 7:21) Why dost thou not forgive me my transgression, or take away my iniquity? Now I lie down in the dust, and thou shalt seek me, but I shall not remain.
(Job 13:26) You are against me and record the troubles; you make me guilty of the sins of my youth; (27) You put my feet in stocks; you search all my paths, you check my steps.
No one has the ability to fully express himself in words.
No one has the ability to listen to what others have to say.
There is no one who can convey what they have heard.
But, what is the reason for being discouraged, shaken, and sleepless in life?
by listening to people In many cases, it is only after hearing the words passed over several bridges.
Never, never, never, ever be shaken by what people say.
People's words are just a reference.
To make a decision… ...just listen to the word of God.
<How to properly listen to God's Word>
How does God reveal?
1. Through conscience, dreams and visions (14-18)
(14) God spoke once, and again he said, “Man is not interested. (15) When a man sleeps on his bed, in a deep sleep, or in a dream or in a vision at night. (16) He opens a man's ear and gives a warning to fear. (17) This is to make a man forsake his ways, and to prevent his pride. (18) He does not let the soul of a man fall into a pit, and his life that he does not perish by the sword.
2. By disease (19-22)
(19) Or a man is chastened by the pain of a sick bed and the constant aching of his bones. (22) His heart draws near to the pit, and his life draws near to the destroyer.
However, it cannot be said that all diseases are God's means of revelation.
3. As a mediator (23-30)
(23) If one of the thousand angels is with the man as his mediator and proves his righteousness, (24) God will have mercy on him and rescue him from going down into the pit, and he will say, “I have found a ransom.” (26) He prays to God, and God is gracious to him, and he shouts for joy over him, he sees the face of God, and restores to man his justice. (27) He sings before men. And say, I have sinned and have done wrong, and it has been of no avail to me. (28) My life will see the light, because God has rescued my soul from going down into the pit. (29) Indeed, God has caused man to do all these things. (30) To bring their souls out of the pit, that the light of life might shine upon them.
To hear God's word clearly...
① You have to want to hear it and expect it.
If you don't listen, you won't hear.
(Romans 12:2) … Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, which is good, pleasing, and perfect.
② You have to be humble to listen.
If you are arrogant, you will only hear the voice of the devil.
How do I know if I am proud or not?
The reaction after hearing the words “You have become proud these days.” .
An angry person is a proud person!
A humble person is the one who accepts humbly and tries to correct his mistakes!
③ You must have an obedient attitude to be able to listen.
No matter how difficult a command is, you must have the attitude to obey so that God's voice can be heard, and the more you obey, the clearer it becomes.
“Tell me. Your servant will listen.” should have the attitude
Disobedience and disobedience gradually fade and then cut off.
Let's listen to God's voice every day, every moment, make a decision, and act.
