Title: The breadth of love (John 03:16)
Content It is impossible to explain God's infinite love with appropriate words, but we want to engrave its meaning.
(1) For some Christians, the scope of love is too narrow. However, since the scope of that love is limited only to family and friends, it misses the path to receive naturally (1 Thessalonians 3:12).
(2) The scope of Christ's love is wide. It connects the widest sea and includes the whole world. The love of Christ is racism.
It is not limited by circumstances (John 3:16).
(3) Our love should extend to others. We are to give love to the loveless, help the needy, comfort the lonely, and share Christ with the wandering (1 Peter 1:22).
2. Love travels the longest way - the way
(1) Human love is often temporary. You are here today, and you are gone tomorrow. Their love changes according to their whims, and their feelings make it better or worse (Isa 49:15).
(2) The love of Christ is eternal. It travels the longest way, even to the crucified Mount Calvary. No matter where there is hardship, sorrow, despair, or unbelief, Jesus loves you (John 13:1).
(3) Our love must be maintained in spite of all difficulties. Since Jesus laid down his life for us, we must also show this love to our neighbors (1 John 3:16).
3. Love goes down to the deepest valleys - deep
(1) Most human love does not reach the deepest valleys, the darkest places, the depths where sorrow and sin suffer (Ephesians 5:2). The love of Christ is even deeper than where the traces of sin are spread. It comes even to the humblest places where millions of people suffer from sin, grieve, and suffer (John 4:14-1 5; 8:11).
(2) We are to be together in God's love, compassion, and sympathy. We must not only love with words, but with actions and truth (1 John 3:18).
4. Love rises to the highest place - high
(1) Many Christians' love is corrupted by selfish desires and ambitions, and countless blessings are being violated without knowing it (John 15:13). The love of Christ ascends even to the highest mountain. Even on Mount Calvary, where he was crucified. No matter how steep and difficult it is, Jesus loved me and took up the cross for me, so now we must expand like the love of the Lord.
