Title: The Called Missionary / (Romans 1:1-10)
Contents Last Sunday, I spoke under the title of 'Servant of Jesus Christ' (Romans 1:1-7).
When Paul introduces himself, he introduces himself as a servant of Jesus and a slave. We also declare that all Christians are also servants of Jesus Christ.
Second, Paul introduces himself as 使徒.
Apostle means one who has been called. I had a clear sense of respect for myself.
He was filled with confidence and gratitude that God had personally called him and entrusted him with a precious mission. When parents call their children by his name and give him precious errands, they take pride in calling them out and accepting them and leaving them with confidence.
When the president selects and calls a minister to his office, what kind of emotion would it be? If there is a believer who is convinced that God, who made the whole world and rules heaven and earth, has chosen and called me and lives with such a sense of calling, then he is a happy person. He is a person who is always happy to live.
sense of duty! sense of duty! With this alone, you will be able to overcome any difficulties. When God calls people, he doesn't call them in bulk. One by one he calls out his name. (John 10:3, 27-28)
<< "You worm Jacob!" >>
The Lord knows all of us. You know our weakness. He knows all the shortcomings and faults. Nevertheless, he calls us one by one. because you love me There is no regret for God's call.
When did the Lord call us? Don't be surprised!! (Ephesians 1:4-6) Before heaven and earth were created, He predestined us, chose us, and called us. It is such a mysterious calling. You who worship here today are such people. They are really great people. They are special people.
We are wonderful people by God's grace, not because we are good, but because we are called by God's unconditional election. That God has called me....... If I think of God who called me even in my dreams, I will be so grateful and thankful that I will sing and rejoice. It is so exciting to have someone acknowledge me and call me. It is so exciting to see God calling me, entrusting me with a mission, and using me as a worker in the kingdom of God. Of course, fulfilling the mission is not an easy task.
But, in this floating cloud-like world, when God calls one day, isn't it a bit embarrassing to waste your time doing nothing in this world and then stand before the Lord with empty hands? I see older adults lamenting like this all the time.
“When my eyes are clear, my ears are good, when my body moves well, when I have strength, when I have an opportunity, when I have a chance, I am faithful and faithful. My body and mind are not listening! Please, when I have strength, opportunity, when I am young, and when I can, I must do my best to fulfill my mission and bear fruit with allegiance to the Lord who called me..."
That's right. Please respond to God's call with joy!! There is nothing more rewarding and enjoyable than being chosen and called. A year goes by. getting ready for the new year
I hope that you will be able to count what you have left before God, who has called me faithfully and has given me gifts and missions. We are all called bodies. It is a body bought by the Lord with blood. (1 Corinthians 6:19-20) These are the ambassadors of the kingdom of heaven. They are the messengers of heaven.
Two weeks ago, our church gave the consent of the deacon in Seo-ri and the consent of the volunteers.
It is a letter that encourages you to take on the mission the Lord has called you with, and encourages you to reflect on yourself with some resolutions. I hope that you will not be afraid and give up at all, but make up your mind and be faithful to the Lord. If we just set off without any standards and without determination and just pass the time, how poor we will be when we are called.
Be humble, do not sit down, do not bury your talents in the ground, and do your best to bear abundant fruit for those who are called.
What is the highest honor as a Christian?
It is being called by God. It is a mission from the Lord. It is not enough to give thanks for a precious mission that even angels can admire, and for the tremendous privilege and blessing of becoming a child of God.
What is the mission of a missionary who has been called like this? Today's text is simple in two ways.
1. To believe well. 2, is to obey well.
The purpose for which the Lord has called us is to trust and believe in God completely, and to obey His word and will absolutely. This is something you do on your own, on your own, willingly, and voluntarily. It cannot be done by coercion or coercion. If you take on a mission and work under oppression or intentionality, you become an idiot, a formality, and a hypocrite. You may do a good job, but there is a lot of conflict in your heart. I usually work just fine, but when something difficult comes up, I sit down and give up.
(1 Peter 2:9) The Lord calls us royal priests, a chosen people, and called missionaries. If you work with the sense of calling you have been called, you will have a shoulder dance. The more difficult and difficult the work, the more grateful it is. Because I have the skills and trust to take on these difficulties, I believe that what has been entrusted to me is the Lord's all-encompassing grace. It is easy to believe for those who work with the sense of mission they have been called to. I absolutely believe it. I am glad to be obedient. Where can't you obey what? Who doesn't call me and don't use my nameless and lightless toil? He is a person who is looking for work to obey.
A man who does nothing is always quiet, but to his hardworking loyal servants, work is visible. As you work, you receive power, receive more grace, and receive a reward while working. As you work, you feel and experience the cross of the Lord up close. Hallelujah!!
Do you believe in Jesus? Do you really believe it? If that faith is not a dead faith, but a living faith, it will bear fruit through faith in action and faith in obedience. God has called me!! God who has given you precious faith as a gift!
Let us become true believers who obey God while giving thanks for the mission, gifts, and tasks entrusted to us.
You and I are chosen by the God of hosts. They are called missionaries. Let's become commendable workers in the kingdom of God, trustworthy and obedient missionaries. Amen!!
God invites and calls us to salvation. We invite those who have been saved to the seat of our mission. And when our mission is accomplished, He calls us to heaven.
The Lord calls us like this, how can we sit back and ignore His calling?
