Title: The Chosen Life (Genesis 24:10)
life of choice
Genesis 24:10-27
There are a lot of frustrations that people go through in life, but you can learn a lot. In other words, there is a lot of frustration due to visible factors, and there is frustration caused by an invisible psychological problem.
A typical example is the frustration that comes from economic loss. This is the frustration that comes from losing something you loved or from material loss. For example, a fire broke out in a house where he had been living in an unsatisfactory life and burned all his property, or a successful business failed. I had a problem with a job I used to do well. The pain that comes from that is indescribable. This makes people frustrated. And this frustration goes too far and leads to death.
Another may be the frustration that comes from relationship loss. People are deeply frustrated when they are betrayed by someone they trusted. This is the severance of a relationship. Also, when people feel that they are not loved by people around them, they fall into deep frustration. This is the loss of a relationship. Among them, it is said that when they feel “I have been abandoned” in the interest of others, they feel extremely frustrated. This frustration also goes too far and leads to death.
Humans are relational animals. We are frustrated by the relationship, and we have hope according to the relationship. So it's really nice to have someone acknowledge my existence. What's more, it's even more exhilarating to be nominated among so many people in particular. We express this in terms of And one precious thing that this means is that behind it there are always benefits and a life-changing life. There are many men and women living in this land, but they choose each other as my woman and my man, and they get married, start a family, enjoy the benefits of happiness, and live a life looking to the future.
We do not know how precious the word is to us who believe in God. So every day we need to be able to ponder the meaning of the fact that we are chosen by God.
In today's text, the protagonist of such a choice appears. His name is. was a maiden who was born ordinary in Haran, grew up ordinary, and lived an ordinary life. Then one evening, her life completely changed. It wasn't normal. It was truly an amazing historical event.
It was chosen in the genealogy that connects the lineage that God has made the source of blessings. It is the moment when the stage of life moves from the edge of history to the center and becomes the protagonist of the history that God has opened.
This is indeed what it means to say that we are chosen by God today. Therefore, we should not take God's choice lightly or think of it as an accident that happened without a plan. Those who are chosen must know that God has a plan to do so.
A child was born in America. They said he was so weak that he would soon die. At the age of 17 and at 22, all three times I nearly died. I got it when I was 19, when I was 20. At the age of 35, I had to go through another hazard of getting caught and dying. At the age of 43, he was almost paralyzed and began to suffer. But in his heart, he always believed in himself that God had chosen me and that he was always with me. In 1775 at the age of 43, he became the commander-in-chief of the American Revolutionary Army and became a national hero by commanding the Independence Army to victory. Twelve years later he became President of the United States. He is [George Washington]. Belief in the conviction that God has chosen him will turn him into a cornerstone. [Apostle Paul] did not know himself. However, from the moment he realized that God had chosen him to be a missionary to the Gentiles, he began to transform into a wonderful minister.
This chosen life changes you. The life of those who are chosen by God is an incomparable glory.
“Drink, Lord.” And the next is important. What does verse 19 say? “I will also draw water for your camels so that they may drink to their fullness.” At the end of the day, at the end of the day, it's the evening when you feel tired and irritable. But without a single complaint, not only Eliezer but also camels drew water and gave it to them. It is said that a camel can drink as much as a drum of water after walking through the desert all day. But how many camels did Eliezer bring? ten. In verse 20, we see Rebekah pouring and pouring out. This is usually not a big deal. Here we see the truth of God choosing those who are not stingy in giving.
Dear saints!
It is said that the value of a diamond is determined by the four Cs. Namely, carat, cut, color, and clarity. It's the same order of rating people in America. Because it is the size of silver, it is the size of a person’s pocket, that is, the size of possessions; because it is silver, it is the appearance, clothes, cars, etc., because it is the color, it is the color of the skin; is said to be evaluated as However, even if people give plausible ratings in these four aspects, there is not a single masterpiece of human beings exposed as dust in the light of God.
All that is needed is God's finishing touch. It is the fifth C, Christ. The only way to receive forgiveness from the cross of Christ and to be chosen as a new person moment by moment is the only way to leave my life as a masterpiece. I hope that your faith will be able to stand in the form of being chosen by God in whatever you do every day.
