Title: The Christian Way (2 Kings 2:1-11)
The world is full of east, west, north, and south roads.
But just because there are so many roads doesn't mean I have to go all the way.
All roads lead to a purpose.
If a person goes on any path, the result will be nothing.
Then the way we Christians should go should be clear.
Some say it's a success, some say it's a win
Whether it is a success or a victory, such glorious heat is on our way.
If we want to get a hawk, we need to check the road we're on once again.
there is yoga
Is the road I'm on the way to victory?
I need to make sure that the path I'm on right now is the path to success.
In particular, we Christians can go straight to the path presented in today's text.
When you do, you will be able to win.
1, the road of Gilgal
The first road is the road of Gilgal.
in verse 2
“Elijah said to Elisha, I beg you, stay here.
and sent him to Bethel. Elisha said, "The life of the Lord and the life of your soul
By this I swear I will not leave you."
This word here means Eli, the great prophet of God who ascended into heaven without seeing death.
In the face of God's glorious calling, Jah met with Elisha, his chief disciple,
It's a conversation scene.
The Bible reveals the place where these conversations are taking place.
You can see the importance of the place.
This is verse 1.
“When the Lord was about to take Elijah up to heaven, Elijah was with Elisha.
I went out of Gilgal."
The way of Gilgal is introduced.
This Gilgal is a historical site with many meanings.
First, it is a place to remember the grace of God.

After 40 years of rough road in the wilderness, the people of Israel are now in the Promised Land.
We have reached the point in front of our eyes.
It was the time of harvesting wheat, and the Jordan River overflowed the hills.
But the Israelites were able to cross the Jordan River like land.
This was entirely a blessing from God.

In order not to forget the events of that time forever, Joshua commanded the people to do
They were told to bring a stone for each tribe.
Joshua 4:19-20
“On the tenth day of the first month, the people came up from the Jordan and encamped at Gilgal, east of Jericho.
And he set the twelve stones that Joshua had brought from the Jordan at Gilgal.”
The place where Joshua encamped was Gilgal, and the place where the monument was erected was Gilgal.
Joshua 4:21-24
The second was the path of renunciation.

In Joshua 5:1,
"In those days the LORD said to Joshua, "Make a sword out of flint,
“Circumcise the children of Israel again.”
Before the land of Canaan was cleared, there was a work to be done.
God commanded Abraham to do something he had done before, or to do something that was interrupted in the middle.
It is the Halle ritual that was performed (Genesis 17:10-14).
However, this circumcision ceased after nearly 40 years of living in the wilderness.

Joshua 5:10
“The children of Israel encamped at Gilgal, and on the evening of the 14th day of the month in the plains of Jericho.
I kept the Passover."
It hasn't been long since the circumcision ceremony...
The Passover was kept in front of the enemies staring at them.
Psalm 23:5
“You have set a table for me in the sight of my enemies, and you anointed my head with oil.
and my cup overflows."
If you are a Christian, the first thing you should do before your eyes is
It is to build an altar solemnly in front.
Sheep were slaughtered at the Passover.
This means the Lord, but my position in slaughtering the sheep is from now on.
Just like that, it is also a promise to endure even the worst.
2, the way of Bethel
Every true Christian must pass through this Gilgal road to become the next gateway.
You can go the way of Bethel.
The word Bethel means "house of God."
Look again at verse 2:2.
"Elijah said to Elisha, I beg you, stay here, and the LORD
and sent him to Bethel. Elisha said, "The life of the Lord and the life of your soul
By this I swear, I will not leave you. Then the two
go down to Bethel."

where
Also, after Jacob's 20 years of wandering, he was called again by God.
This place is Bethel.
Bethel is the place where Jacob built an altar of stone.
It is the place where oil was poured on the altar and vows were made.
And it was Bethel, where he trusted the Lord to trust his way.
3, the road of Jericho
Elijah and Elisha finally reached Bethel.
and in verse 4
“Elijah said to him, Elisha, I beg you, stay here.
He is sending me to Jericho. Elisha said, "The LORD lives, and
As the soul lives, I swear I will not leave you.
So they came to Jericho."
Bethel is enough for a short stay.
Bethel is the starting point for the next place.
Here again, Elisha firmly swears to follow Elijah.
In fact, the road to Jericho cannot be taken without great determination.
Why
Because Jericho is the way of war.
This war is a spiritual war for Christ.
What is Jericho that we must destroy?
Who is the enemy we must fight?
World wars between countries must also be won.
The spiritual war in heaven must be won even more.
4, the Jordan River
Now there is the last road left, the road of the last gateway.
This is verse 6.
"Elijah said to Elisha again, I beg you, stay here.
He sends me to the Jordan, and he said, The LORD lives, and the life of your soul.
As I swear by you, I will not leave you.
do it"
The Jordan is the way to settle life, which is the end of life.
in verse 8

A man swung over land."
