Title: The Church for the Next Generation

Contents

Church text for the next generation: Judges 2:6-10

6 Joshua had sent the people away, and the children of Israel each had their inheritance.

went and took the land

7 The elders who survived the people during the days of Joshua and after Joshua

Those who have seen all the great things the LORD has done for Israel

He served the LORD all his days.

8 Joshua the son of Nun, the servant of the LORD, died when he was one hundred and ten years old.

9 The crowds buried him in Timnath-Jerez, north of Mount Gaash, in the hill country of Ephraim, within the territory of his inheritance.

10 All the people of that generation went back to their fathers.

The other generation that arose after that did not know the LORD,

They did not know what he had done for Israel.

The Bible places great importance on passing on the lineage of faith, and sometimes that

It's not so solemn that it's depressing. We see an example of this in Tamar.

After her husband died and Onan was killed while refusing to take over

She conceived a child through Judah, Tamar's father-in-law.

But God saw Tamar’s actions as precious.

He left us as a model for blessings (Ruth 4:12). Jesus also raised people to do the work

You put great importance on succession. Matthew 28:18, 2 Timothy 2:1,2

As it turns out, both Jesus and Paul suffered their own lives for the next generation.

The fate of the next generation seems to depend on how much the previous generation paid for it.

How much hard work and sweat was put into farming and raising people?

That's running. Therefore, if all generations neglect this solemn responsibility, a great tragedy will occur.

It appears, and the text shows it.

They failed to educate the next generation. In fact, the next generation at that time

They must have been completely different generations.

No one can guarantee that the tragedy of Judges will not be repeated if we fail in inspired education. In fact, we are already surprised. Juvenile crimes increased over the years and the statistics on their consciousness alone show that the tragedy of the Judiciary is no longer a story. If we give up because we do not want to become rotting grains of wheat, the bitter fruit will become our unavoidable share. Education for future generations is something that cannot be recovered no matter how much investment is made if the time is missed. The responsibility of the church is to prepare a generation that fears God. It is to cultivate eyes to discern good and evil with the Word of God, to nurture the power to overcome the world, and to help us discover a clear goal in life. The core of youth religious education for this purpose is character education. That's because you need a solid model.

In fact, this has already been shown in Deuteronomy 6:4, the great charter of religious education.

This will require a basic investment.

First, we need to have a lot of good leaders and teachers.

The second is to create a good educational environment.

Lastly, to develop educational materials and to breathe the world from a young age.

It's about creating opportunities. Close your eyes and let our children

Look forward to 30 years from now when you will be carrying the church and the world on your shoulders.
