The place where we can meet and know Christ is the Word of the Bible. No matter how busy people are, they invest a lot of time and invest in what they think is important. Longing for Christ and longing for the Word even when you are busy. To know the Bible is to know Christ. Read, read through, study, and meditate on the Bible. This is the way to know Christ. The mystery of God is revealed in Christ. I learn bad things even if I sit still, but if I don't make up my mind to do good things, it won't be mine That is why the Bible tells us to practice godliness. To love God is to love the Word of God.
Colossians 3:16 says, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, praising God with thanksgiving in your hearts.” A mature community is a community rich in the Word.
The church is not a community of general teaching or moral instruction. It is a spiritual community that gives spiritual wisdom and gives life. Saints! Our church not only becomes a church rich in the word by sharing the word with each other, but also a church that teaches each other. We hope to become a church that praises God with thanksgiving.
Ⅳ. A community that discerns false lessons (4)
What really matters is not the method of delivery, but the authenticity of the content. “For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in power” (1 Corinthians 4:20). Pray much for the preacher. Only then will it be beneficial to you. When the word of God is proclaimed, it cannot be heard as the word of truth unless it is witnessed by the power of the Holy Spirit. Whenever the Word of God is proclaimed, we must pray for the Holy Spirit to work strongly and to work in the people who hear the word so that they can understand it well.
That's why Jesus said, "Watch and pray that you may not fall into temptation, and be vigilant in prayer, that you may be able to escape all these things that are to come and stand before the Son of Man" (Matthew 26:41). (Luke 21:36) And Paul said, “With all prayer and supplication, praying in the Holy Spirit at all times, being awake to this, always making every effort to ask for it, asking for the sake of the saints” (Ephesians 6:18). Write and stay awake in prayer with thanksgiving” (Colossians 4:2). Watch and pray to become a community that discerns untruths, false teachers, and false teachings.
Ⅴ. It is a community that accompanies the Lord (5)
Now Paul is in a Roman prison, and the Colossians were in the Colossian church. Paul and the Colossians never saw their faces. However, the church is coping with the problems facing the Lord. Even though all the members of our church are separated from each other, I hope that we can become a community that can deal with all problems together while walking and fellowshipping in the Lord. We looked at what kind of church we should aim for through Colossae Church.
Becoming a strong and capable community does not happen automatically. In order to become a church that God is pleased with and fulfill the mission of the times, strong training is required. Because the times are evil, strong training is necessary. Our members want me to be trained first and become a spiritual trainer who trains others. Time does not make our faith mature. The maturity of faith is not proportional to age and time. Even if this is short, strong training transcends years, careers and time. We want our church to be a church that serves more trained workers than people with many years of experience and experience. It is training, not the passage of time, that makes us mature. Through the text, we looked at what kind of church we should aim for through the letter written for the church in Colossae amid Paul's concern and concern. In order to become such a church, I pray that all of us will have the same heart, the same will, the same vision, run in the same direction, bear the same fruit, glorify God, and be a church that encourages and encourages each other.
