Title: The Complete Sanctification / Revelation 21:27
content full sanctification
Revelation 21:27
Sanctification refers to the process by which Christians become like the character and person of Jesus Christ after they are saved. The religious disposition of the saints in this world is like a child growing up into an adult. Salvation is accomplished once for all through faith in Christ and repentance (Hebrews 9 12, but not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered into the Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption for ever. If sprinkling on the unclean one purifies and sanctifies the body, Hebrews 9 14 how much more will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without blemish to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? Heb 9 15 For this reason he was the mediator of the new covenant, that he died for the sins committed in the first covenant, that those who were called might receive the promise of an eternal inheritance.)
1. The meaning of the physical death of the saints
1 Corinthians 15 55 Where is your victory, O death? Where is your sting, O death? 1 Corinthians 15 56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.
The significance of the death of our saints
1) There is no penalty for sin
The death of a saint is different from the death of ordinary people. The Bible testifies that the death of unbelievers is God's judgment and curse for their sins (Romans 1 32). Romans 5 16 And this gift is not like that of one who has sinned, because judgment came through one man to condemnation, but the gift is named because of justification through many transgressions.”) So the people of the world feared death, (Heb 2:3 How shall we escape, if we neglect such a great salvation? This salvation was spoken of by the Lord at the beginning, and it was confirmed to us by those who heard it)
But believers, believe that there is no condemnation because we are in the atoning grace of Christ (Romans 8 1, therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus Ro 8 2, for the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus is against sin and I have set you free from the law of death.
)
So Paul says in 1 Corinthians 15:55, ... Death!
Therefore, the saints should first remember that death is not a punishment. In any case, no matter what circumstance, any form, or physical death, if he was a sincere believer, he should not recklessly talk about his death.
2) It may be the best discipline. Sometimes it is said that the death of the saints is a punishment for the future path of the saints who are his children, God the Father. The Apostle Paul says that it is God's discipline that the Corinthians often die because of debauchery, idolatry, and pride (1 Corinthians 11:30) so that the body might be destroyed and the spirit might be saved on the day of the Lord Jesus) Likewise, God can chastise the saints with death. Because I'll have to wait a little longer to only cry.
3) It is the pinnacle of the grace of salvation.
There is a contradiction that believers cannot live freely as children of God even though they have been saved. Why? Because we still have the sinful nature we inherited from Adam. It is in the weakness of not living according to the will of faith. You know what's best, but you're not doing your best. Even though you know what evil is, you see that you follow it. So when we see this contradiction of ourselves, we have no choice but to lament.
And while we live in this world, we will fall into the temptations and temptations of Satan endlessly. Therefore, death is the opportunity to be completely rescued from this sinful nature and the evil power of the world through death.
2. Time to enjoy complete sanctification
Luke 23 43 Jesus said to him, "Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in paradise."
1) The soul is immediately enjoyed
The Bible tells us that after death, their souls will immediately reside with Christ in Paradise. Also in Luke 16: The rich man and Lazarus point to the fact that Lazarus was immediately taken into Abraham's bosom.
2) The body is united at the second coming of Christ.
1 Thessalonians 4 16 The Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first 1 Thessalonians 4 17 After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. so that we may always be with the Lord.
3. A Study on Funeral Methods
Christians can go to complete sanctification through death, but how is it biblical to dispose of the corpse?
1) Opinion that you can wear makeup
Because God is Almighty God, even if the bodies of the saints are cremated, even if they are cremated, in the resurrection (Rev 20 13, the sea gave up the dead that were in them, and death and Hades gave up the dead from them, received) and collected together. If you live on this earth without an arm and die with a deformity, and you say that you are as you are again there, that place will not be heaven. God is Almighty God. Most of the early church members were burned at the stake and eaten by lions.
2) It is free even if you shop.
Burial is not kept until the coming of Christ, because everything has rotted away and there is nothing there. In any case, it is the same as Revelation 20:13, and I pray in the name of the Lord that you will surely believe that God is Almighty God, do not fear death, and prepare to stand in that kingdom without shame. Amen.
