Title: The Consummation of Salvation

The completion of salvation (Philippians 2:12-13)
Philippians 2:12-13 “Therefore, my beloved, always obey, not only in my presence, but even more now in my absence, work out your salvation with fear and trembling.
13 It is God who works in you, to will and to do for his good pleasure.” - Amen
In verse 12, it says, 'Work out your salvation with fear and trembling'. However, when you read the Bible and have faith, you must not look at the Bible as a cross section.
You have to look at it based on the thought of the entire flow of the Old and New Testaments, both before and after the Bible. What you achieve here means that you should value God's gracious salvation as a person who has been saved, treat it with respect, and fulfill it fully.
1. Salvation is a gift from God
Ephesians 2:8 “For it is by grace you have been saved, and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God.” For example, in the early days of the Korean church, someone asked a foreign missionary to come and learn the Bible and Christianity. No. God's servants came to the land of Joseon by themselves. We persecuted and killed them, but...
Salvation is as if my parents gave birth to me. You brought us into this world regardless of my will. It is the grace of our parents. Salvation also gave birth to us through grace.
Romans 3:27 "Where then is there to boast? There can be no law, not by works, but by the law of faith."
2. Salvation is given to us by God's desire
It means that God had the ultimate purpose of man's salvation. It is good for man to be saved by himself, but it is something that God originally wanted you to be more pleased with. Because it was God's own purpose.
In verse 13, '...this is God, for the sake of his own pleasure...' The Christian salvation is, in fact, the fact that God saved us because He was good. Other religions were created to satisfy human needs, but...
Psalm 23:3 You must understand this confession, 'He revives my soul and leads me in the path of righteousness for His name's sake.'
Even when children think of their parents, if they understand them as a child for their parents, there is no precious center. Even if they think so, parents never see their children as an opportunity for their own use. You will only be blessed.
Ephesians 1:5-6 “He predestined us to be his sons through Jesus Christ, according to his good pleasure, 6 to the praise of the glory of his grace, which is freely given to us in him whom he loves.”
Today, I know how many church members believe in Jesus by understanding God as a God necessary for living in the world like other religions, praying and asking for blessings. When a miracle happens, it is even more enthusiastic. However, you need to know that the Bible does not mean that much, but that God wants to play a role as a human being, a creature that pleases and glorifies Himself.
3. We must become saints who fulfill the wishes of God
13 '... he gives you desires and actions for his good pleasure.'
Many members of the church are told to make a wish, so they say that they are positive because they are the 4th dimension, but they also fall into all kinds of mystic emotions that are strong and even self-hypnosis, and they work hard for a so-called successful life.
There are two things to know about prayer:
Matthew 7:7 “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened to you.”
Some people say that God counts even the hairs of his head, so he will fill it all out by himself, but that is not true. You must pray for it.
Ezekiel 36:37 “Nevertheless, says the Sovereign Lord, they must ask me to do this for the house of Israel, so that I will multiply their numbers like a flock.”
2) It is about asking for the kingdom of God.
Whatever you gain as a saint, whatever you become, whatever you do, and live, you must give glory to God.
Matthew 6:33 “Seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
John 15:7-8 'If you abide in me and my words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you.
Since God's desires are biblical and the things of the Holy Spirit have already been recorded in the Bible, we should not regard them as the things of the Holy Spirit as strange things.
Gal 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control; against such things there is no law.”
Like some cults, as long as you believe in Jesus, you will soon become perfect and you should not misunderstand it as if you became an angel through the experience of spiritual change. Even after being regenerated, they still need to be sanctified. You are not perfect until the day you die.
It is arrogant to think that God's work can do everything with the simple position of believing in Jesus. If that is the case, then why did Moses in the Old Testament and Paul or the disciples in the New Testament make mistakes while being trained and called? That is because the human nature of weak sin lasts a lifetime.
Therefore, we must pray for something new every day, make an effort, make it a habit, and devote ourselves to pursuing holiness with all our strength. Because the salvation God has given is so precious, it is a lesson to cherish it and live it well as a person of salvation by embracing it with fear and trembling for preservation, maintenance, and development.
Prior to the content of this chapter, Paul introduced the truly victorious Lord, who came to this earth as a sinner after the Lord emptied his glory, conquered the proud devil by being humbled and resurrected by carrying the cross.
Today's sermons and exhortations do not teach how to live well before God, but only teach the spiritual struggle of living well and winning strong.
But we want to remember again how the Lord humbled himself and how he suffered to please the Father and how he suffered and eventually triumphed, and we want to remember again the success of humility in working out our salvation with dignity.
In the name of the Lord, I pray in the name of the Lord that you and I, who serve everyone with all humility and seek victory depending on God, become those who glorify God. Amen
