The Cross and Creation (Genesis 1:1-5)
The cross is the love of God and the power of salvation.
1 Corinthians 1:18 “For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
God's love was given to us through this cross.
The power of God is being shown to us through the cross.
Therefore, the cross contains infinite mystical power.
The Christian's power is to be revealed through the cross.
In the beginning, when God created the heavens and the earth, He created them with the Word.
These words reveal Jesus Christ.
John 1:1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
John 1:2 He was with God in the beginning,
John 1:3 All things were made through him, and without him nothing was made that was made.
John 1:4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men.
The Word does not mean a voiced voice, it means the Word, Jesus Christ. The creation with the word means that it was accomplished through Jesus Christ, and creation is a manifestation of our salvation, and our salvation comes only through Jesus Christ.
If we think about the image before creation and the image after creation, it was full of darkness before creation.
It was empty and chaotic, but after creation we can see order, light, and fullness.
This article of creation is not meant to explain and prove the process of creation of the earth, but it is a word that proclaims the truth of salvation through Jesus Christ through the article of creation.
The image of people committing sins and being destroyed is the same as before creation.
Sin is ruin. They feel empty, frustrated, anxious, fearful, confused, hopeless, and hopeless, eventually giving up or committing suicide.
A state of emptiness, chaos, and darkness is the state in which man has sinned and is in despair.
It looks like it.
However, when the word of God is proclaimed in this chaotic, empty, and full of darkness, order is created, and light and fullness are achieved.
When the gospel of Jesus Christ enters a place where there is despair, hope arises, joy arises, joy arises, and thanksgiving arises.
It is said that the appearance created by the Word was good to see.
In its initial state it was never beautiful to look at, but after creation it was beautiful to look at.
look. This is like the beauty of heaven when the grace of salvation is given through Jesus Christ and the kingdom of heaven is established.
Therefore, the first account of creation in the Bible is not simply for the purpose of revealing how the universe came into being long ago, but through the event that God created the heavens and the earth, humans who have no choice but to die because of their sins, the Son of God, Jesus
These are the words of revelation that reveal that we have been saved through Christ.
The purpose of writing the Word is so that we can believe in Jesus Christ as our Savior and be saved.
John 20:30 Jesus performed many other signs in front of the disciples that are not written in this book.
John 20:31 But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in his name.
The Bible is for us to believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and our Savior, and is not meant to explain scientific truths, or to prove the process of the earth's creation or any history.
The Bible says
Matthew 11:28 Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
When we take the heavy burden of our sins before Jesus, those who were in despair will have hope and gain joy as they will be resolved.
Joh 14:27 Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid.
The Lord gives us eternal peace and rest, and enables us to live a life full of joy and gratitude.
Philippians 4:4 Rejoice in the Lord always, I say again, rejoice
Philippians 4:5 Let your generosity be known to all, for the Lord is near.
Philippians 4:6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Philippians 4:7 And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Chaos is like despair and despair.
However, if you abide in the Lord, your heart will become stable, joy will come, and change will take place in living faithfully and sincerely with all hope.
The word of the Lord is truth. Even if heaven and earth disappear, the Word of God is the word of absolute truth that cannot be added, subtracted, or deleted even by one point or one tittle.
When we live according to the word of God, true peace and joy are given.
Those who sin and are in despair tend to be empty.
But when the Lord dwells in it, it is transformed into a life full of joy and hope.
1 Timothy 6:17 Command those who are rich in this generation not to be high-minded, and not to put their hope in uncertain riches, but to put their hope in God, who richly gives us all things to enjoy.
1 Timothy 6:18 Do good, be rich in good works, be generous and sympathetic.
1 Timothy 6:19 This is to lay a good foundation for yourself in the future, so that you may have the true life.
Creation was accomplished by the Word of God, and this Word is Jesus Christ.
The Lord said that He came to this earth to accomplish salvation and that He accomplished everything by dying on the last cross. This means that He accomplished the work of salvation through the cross.
Therefore, we are saved today because of the merits of the cross of Jesus Christ, and the faith that can receive salvation is the faith that can bear the cross.
As the Lord died on the cross, when we humble ourselves and live a life of sacrifice and dedicated service, the creation of a new history will take place.
The emptiness will disappear and you will be full.
The blessing of turning chaos into order and darkness into light will come.
I bless you in the name of the Lord that you may follow in the footsteps of the Lord who died on the cross and that the work of spiritual new creation will arise every day in your journey of life.
