Old Testament

9. Be gracious to me, O LORD, for I am in affliction; my eyes, soul, and body are withered from sorrow.

10. I spend my days in sorrow, my years in groaning; My strength is weakened because of my iniquity, and my bones are withered.

11. I am reviled by all my adversaries, and I am grieved by my neighbours; my friends are astonished, and those who see me on the road have escaped me.

12. I have been forgotten, like the dead are not in my heart, and like a broken vessel.

13. I have heard the slander of the multitude, and all around I have been enveloped in fear; when they conspired against me, they devised to take my life.

14. Nevertheless, O LORD, I trust in You, and say, You are my God.

15. My future is in your hand; deliver me from the hand of my enemies and those who persecute me.

16. Make your face shine upon your servant, and save me through your love.

new testament

31. What then shall we say about this? If God is for us, who can be against us?

32. He who did not spare his own Son, but gave him up for us all, how will he not also with him give us all things?

33. Who can accuse God's elect? It is God who justifies.

34. Who will condemn? It is Christ Jesus, who died and was raised, who is at the right hand of God, who also intercedes for us.

Jesus laid down everything for us on the cross. He poured out all his water and blood, and gave up all the comforts and honors of the flesh. He gave up even his relationship with his father for us. It was to give us life and to give it abundantly. God showed his love through the cross and gave us all of him. What has God given us through the cross?

1. He made no one against us. Because the cross is for our sins, no one can condemn us and stand against us. Verse 31, “If God is for us, who can be against us?” This verse is saying that no one can be against us because God is for us. Believe that God is on our side through the cross. Although I have many records of sins and transgressions, God wants to give all blessings of forgiveness freely.

2. He gave everything. Verse 32 “…will he not give us all things with his Son?” God loves us and does not spare us to give it to us. Where has He most clearly shown that He loves us? that is the cross If there is a situation we are experiencing that makes us doubt God's love, put it down before the cross. Because he gave everything out of love.

3. He piled up a warehouse full. God gave us all by giving the cross, and He will give more. Verse 34 “... He is at the right hand of God, who intercedes for us” The Lord asks the Father to provide for our needs. There is still much in God's rich storehouse to bestow upon us. Jesus, who died and rose again for us, said that if we pray, the Father will give us.
