Title: The Crucifixion 2 (Isaiah 53:4-6)
Contents Over the past few hours, I have witnessed about the providences of the cross. Continuing from the last time, today I will testify about why Jesus was nailed to both hands and feet, and also pierced his side with a spear, so that water and blood were spilled.
1. Why Jesus was nailed to both hands and feet In Mark 9:43-49, “If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. To enter eternal life crippled means having two hands in hell and into the unquenchable fire. It is better than going in. If your foot causes you to sin, cut it off... If your eye causes you to sin, pull it out... Where the worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched. Everyone will be salted with fire. "You said.
People commit many sins with their hands. Because they have hands, when they get bloody, they sometimes hit people with their fists and raise their cheeks. Or they beat their wives, sometimes stealing or gambling. How many bad things have you done with your hands from birth to now? Then, what about your feet? Sometimes you kick, you go where you shouldn't go, and you commit a crime, and you go and see where you shouldn't be. Even if I try to take advantage of it, my feet may have to move. There are many sins that you would not commit if you had no feet. The same goes for the eyes.
Because we see with our eyes, it is revealed by our actions.
Therefore, if you sin and go to hell, it is much better to have your hands or feet cut off and your eyes to go to heaven. But what I am grateful for is the fact that our Lord shed His precious blood by being crucified and nailed to both hands and feet. This is because the sins of our hands and feet were atoned for. Then, how did you atone for the sins of our eyes? Our eyes move as our thoughts move, and what we see with our eyes is transmitted and worked through our thoughts. However, because the Lord wore a crown of thorns on his head and shed His precious blood, the sins committed with the eyes, that is, sins committed through the mind, were atoned for. Therefore, even if we have committed a sin, God's grace, love, and justice exist. If we repent and turn back, He is washed with the blood of His precious blood, so we can now be saved even if we do not cut off our hands or feet or remove our eyes.
In the Old Testament era, because it was an act of salvation, sins revealed through works were not forgiven, but punishment was punished according to the sins. However, in the New Testament, it is the Age of Grace. If you repent and turn back because you are saved by faith, your sins will be washed away with the blood of the Lord. He said that he was without sin (1 John 1:7) and recognized him as a holy child of God. If it were not for the suffering of Jesus on the cross, if we sin with our hands, feet, or eyes, we must cut off our hands and feet and have our eyes removed in order to go to heaven. Even today, Muslim nations in the Middle East who do not believe in Jesus as their Savior but believe in the Law given to Moses in the Old Testament keep life as life, eye for eye, tooth for tooth, hand for hand, and foot for foot.
However, even if we have sinned with our hands, feet, or eyes, if we believe, repent, and turn back, we can be washed with the blood of the Lord and be forgiven in the grace of the Lord. How grateful we are.
2. Providence Jesus was pierced in his side with a spear and shed water and blood. After suffering several hours on the cross, Jesus eventually died. He was crucified on Friday, but since it was the Old Testament, the next day was the Sabbath. The Sabbath was a big day for them, so the bodies could not be left on the cross. So he asks Pilate to break their legs and remove their bodies. With the permission of the governor, the robbers on the left and right were dealt with that way, but since Jesus had already died, he confirmed that his breathing had stopped and he did not break any bones. But this was in order to fulfill the Bible's words in Psalm 34:20, "He protects all his bones, not one of them is broken." Instead, in John 19:34, it says, "One of the soldiers pierced his side with a spear, and immediately blood and water came out."
Then why did we stab the side of the already dead? That is to say, we are human beings. He pierced his side with a spear even though he suddenly knew he was dead, and what could this be other than human evil? Also, what does the saying that blood and water came out when you pierced your side with a spear? First, it is proof that our Lord came as a human. John 1:14 says, “The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” Because sinners die when they see God, God cannot appear to us. So, God, who is the Spirit, has led us to believe in God by sending His only begotten Son to this earth to stand and testify of God. Also, because one man, Adam, sinned, sin entered the world, and all became sinners, resulting in death (Romans 5:12). The one who can save us must also be human. If the Word became flesh and came to this earth, it must have bones, flesh, and blood, and must breathe just like us humans. So, if you look at the Bible, you can see that you had to eat and sleep when you were tired (Matthew 8:24-24, Mark 3:20), and it is recorded that blood and water came out when you pierced your side with a spear.
Second, it is evidence that even though we have a body, we can participate in the divine nature and become like Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 1:4 says, "By this he has bestowed upon us that precious and exceedingly great promise, that through this promise you might escape the corruption that is in the world through your lusts, so that you may become true partakers of the divine nature." , Philippians 2:5-8, “Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not regard equality with God as robbery, but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, and became in the likeness of men, And being found in the form of a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of a cross." Jesus came to this earth in the flesh, fulfilled all missions according to God's will, and fulfilled the law with love. Therefore, we too should not make excuses for human weakness, but should participate in the divine nature and embrace the heart of Christ Jesus. If you form the image of Christ, you can become one who shines like the sun in heaven.
Third, it is evidence that it is the blood and water of the power that leads to true life and eternal life. Jesus has neither original sin nor self-crime. Therefore, the blood that Jesus shed is precious blood and water without blemish or blemish. Because the Lord shed this precious blood, we can be washed away from our sins, receive life, and be resurrected and have eternal life. Also, from a spiritual point of view, water means the Word. Listening to the Word and awakening it is eating the flesh of the Lord.
By eating the flesh of the Lord, we cast away our sins and become righteous, and to the extent that we become righteous, our sins are washed away by the blood of the Lord. So this water and blood is the water and blood that can resurrect us, the water and blood of power.
They testify of water and contraception that bring us true life and lead us to eternal life.
Dear brothers and sisters, if you pray with the food that has been testified so far in your heart, this will become power and blessings. I pray in the name of the Lord that all of you will be conceived of life and be guided to the path of eternal life through this word of power.
