Title: The Dawn of Work/Mark 1:35

If someone asks me, "Should I pray at dawn? Can't I do it at any time of the day?" If you ask me, "What time of the day can a person pray at dawn, the quietest and most undisturbed time?" I would like to inquire.

Perhaps most of those who do not pray in the early morning will not pray most of the day. Do you do it at mealtime? Of course, that, too, is prayer. However, the tableware is formal and habitually short-lived, isn't it? True prayer is not such a prayer. The prayer life is the work of the spiritual life, which believers must do.

Early morning prayer was the early morning for the salvation work during the Lord's public life, and the quiet place was the Lord's early morning work. In verse 35, it says, “In the early morning, at dusk, Jesus got up and went out to a secluded place, where he prayed. Many Christians today know how to work from dawn to late at night for the sake of their physical life, but neglect the most important spiritual life of life. Morning prayer is a spiritual work, and the place of morning prayer is a spiritual workplace. Early morning prayer is the most important, most important, and most important thing in life.

Jesus praying at dawn

Early morning prayer was not initiated by man, but by the Lord. But why did the Lord pray at dawn? The Lord’s early morning prayer was a request for help to accomplish God’s will through communication with Heavenly Father, a resolution of self-denial to obey Heavenly Father, and a standard of life that depended on God for everything as Jesus with humanity. will be

Of course, Jesus didn't just pray at dawn. Before the beginning of the communion (Mt 4), when the miracle of five fish was performed (Mt 14), in front of the tomb of Lazarus (John 11:41), at the breaking of the bread during the Lord's Supper (Mt 26:26), before the cross He prayed in the Garden of Gethsemane (Matthew 26) and on the cross (Luke 23). Besides, Jesus always prayed anytime, anywhere.

However, he prayed at dawn to save souls, that is, to gain strength to fight against Satan. "Work is good and fresh, because God is doing the work." These are the words of William Booth, “My Father works until now, and I work” (John 5:17).

For Jesus, the work of work was to pray early in the morning in a quiet place. The work of the world is important and must be done, but the best and holy thing is prayer. That is why, before starting anything in the world, we must first pray in the morning.

Jesus Christ is the Messiah with both divinity and humanity. Despite the many difficulties and tired bodies, Jesus went out to work in the early morning and did the early morning prayer work. The humanity of Jesus Christ followed the divinity. This is the prayer life of Christ. If we deny the humanity of Jesus, we can only put Christ on a high place, and if we deny the divinity of Jesus, Christ cannot be the subject to bow our heads to.

Jesus Christ, the God, prayed with the same disposition as ours, that is, a weak and weary body, and after praying he possessed strong power. That is why Christians must be people of prayer. When we know God's will through prayer, power will follow. God always gives those who pray with the power to do the work.

people praying at dawn

In the Bible, besides Jesus, there are many great men of faith who prayed at dawn. Abraham is a representative figure (Genesis 19:27). God said to Abraham, who had gone out to send an angel, “Shall I hide from Abraham what I am about to do?” (Genesis 18:16, 17), and foretold the destruction of the city of Sodom. Scholars say that the place where Abraham heard the prophecy of the destruction of the city of Sodom was the place where he stood before the Lord in Genesis 19:27, that is, the seat of the altar at dawn where he had fellowship with God.

And there is Jacob. Genesis 28:18 says, "Jacob got up early in the morning, took the stone on which he had been sleeping, and set it up as a pillar, and anointed it with oil." Jacob, who was running away from Esau's wrath, fell asleep in Ruth, met God, and awoke from a dream, thanking the Lord for his presence, protection, and promise, anointed him with oil and built an altar at dawn. That place is Bethel.

Life as a military uniform is difficult for early morning prayer, I have been praying every morning for 10 years as a chaplain, but there is no proper place for early morning prayer while working in front. I struggled and prayed for faith to overcome poverty and the strength to carry out my mission. As Christians, we have to pray in the morning in difficult times.

And there is Moses. “Moses wrote all the words of the Lord, and rose up early in the morning and built an altar under the mountain” (Exodus 24:4). Moses built an altar at dawn to fulfill his mission as the leader of the people of Israel. So he could be a great leader.

Hannah and her husband Elkanah said that they got up early in the morning and worshiped God (1 Samuel 1:19-20). The word 'Samuel' means 'obtained and found'. If you have a wish and a purpose to seek and obtain, I hope you will become a person of early morning prayer. Also, in Job 1:5, it says, "Job called them (the children) and sanctified them, but he got up in the morning and offered burnt offerings according to their number." Job, a righteous man in the East, was also a man of early morning prayer. For this reason, even though he suffered tribulation, he was the recipient of double the blessings than before the tribulation (Job 42). We must pray because it is difficult and we must pray because we cannot pray.

The Bible study and early morning prayer movement began in Wonsan Methodist Church by Missionary Hardy in 1907, and soon spread widely. This has become the tradition of early morning prayer in the Korean church today, and the incident of the coming of the Holy Spirit during the early morning prayer of the Jangdaehyun Church in Pyongyang in 19-7 is considered to be the Korean Pentecostal event. Faith grows when we pray, problems are solved when we pray, pain and anxieties disappear when we pray, and wishes are fulfilled through prayer.

saints praying at dawn

Prayers should be sincere and there should be no doubts about their answers. Moreover, you should not expect an answer of 10,000 won after praying for ten won. It is a thief symbol. If possible, pray for a million won and expect a million fortune answer. It doesn't matter if it's bigger or higher than this. The heart of the person who prays depends on the vessel.

If you want the blessing of that day, don't miss the prayer of that morning. To stop praying is to stop blessing, victory, and prosperity. Why do we have to pray in the morning? This is because if you do not pray in the morning, you are likely to be dragged away by Satan that day.

Luther the Reformer, Wesley, the founder of Methodism, George Mueller, the father of an orphan, and Hudson Taylor, a pioneer evangelist in China, were also people of dawn prayer. Even if we simply take our time and calculate, a person who only goes to church on Sundays is the same as a person who has to go to church for 7 years to pray every morning for a year.

Dawn is the first hour of the day. Give it to God. Talk to God first. Christians must start their day with God in the early morning prayer at the early morning workplace and entrust that day to God. “God dwells in it, and it will not be moved; God will help it at dawn” (Psalm 46:5). Prayer is the strongest and most fortified wall of the saints and an excellent weapon that makes Christians victorious.

Psalm 57:8 says, “Awake, my glory, awake, lyre, harp; I will awaken the dawn.” We must become saints who wake up at dawn and pray in the morning, a spiritual work at work. From the very beginning of the day, we must first become believers who seek his kingdom and righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Prayer people must live a life that values the soul before the body. That is the shortcut to the body.

Do you want to believe well? Start your morning prayer. Having a problem? Kneel at the Dawn Altar. Do you have a wish? Come out to work in the morning and cry out. Do you have any regrets? Come out to God in the morning. Lack of wisdom? Save it at dawn. Does the one you truly love have a disease, test, sin or fault? Come out in the morning and offer your intercession. God promised to help in the morning.

A person who prays is a person of faith. A person of faith is a person who prays. Therefore, it is widely blessed. The day of the person who spends holy time by separating the dawn, the time of rebirth and praying, will be a happy day.
