Title: The Day of the Lord is Coming
Contents Joel 1 records the day of Jehovah a message that calls for repentance in each class before the locusts of calamity arrive. Saints who practice fasting before God! Have you decided to fast while thinking about the sins of the times? Bethuel's son Joel (Jehovah is his God) exhorted him to make a confession before the day of God. His voice raised the voice of urgency, conscious of the impending day of judgment. His voice strongly expressed the locust plague.
First, let us confess our contrition (Joel 1:1-12).
There are classes of objects that need to be repented of. The prophet Joel foretold the locust plague for those who were in contact with old people with long experience. Especially for farmers (vineyards and fig growers), it heralded the dryness of water. The state of the catastrophe was disastrous. Like the state of a locust... The amount of pad paper → locusts → gnats gnawed away and the target was enormous. This was poverty. Also, the years of shame would come when they would eat the bark of the trees due to famine due to invasion of the nations. The fields would be barren and the land withered, the grain offerings and drink offerings would be cut off, and the farmers would mourn for no produce. Therefore, the withers should look at the trees and the parched land and repent.
Second, let's organize ourselves (Joel 1:13-20).
The priests have work to do. Before the day of the Lord comes, the priests must declare a fast, bind up sackcloth, and cry out to the Lord. They must sacrifice themselves and cry out to the Lord of destruction day and night. The prophet Joel emphasized that the reason was because the food was cut off and there was no joy because there was no joy sacrifice in the house of God. The seeds are rotten, the warehouses are emptied, the livestock groaned, and even the cattle and sheep were weary.
Dear saint! When the fire-like heat continued and there was no rain, the appearance of the locusts was a sight that melted the conversation. If there is a political or religious world that goes on without any awareness whenever famine or calamity in a country overlaps, then soon you will see the results of the famine. In this age, the prophet Joel must call on the old, the drunken, and the priests to repent. So let's lead those who suffer from sin to Christ Jesus. -Amen-
/ Faith not to give up
When Thomas Edison invented the incandescent light bulb, did he give up immediately after failing in his first experiment? Not like that. Edison sent people to China, Japan, South America, Asia, Jamaica, Ceylon, and Burma to find a wick to use in a light bulb, and had them bring grass and textiles, and experimentation continued. Luther Burbank, the great botanist, who produced improved varieties of beans, cucumbers, apples, corn, potatoes, peaches, and many other plants, never gave up when faced with challenges during the experiment. Burbank did as many as 6,000 experiments before getting a solution. George Westinghouse's greatest contribution to the founding of Westinghouse, the famous American electric guitar company, was to invent and manufacture the air brake for use in trains. When Westinghouse tried to invent air brakes for trains, everyone ridiculed him as a madman. ??No, yes. You mean the wind stops the metal train? Does it make sense??? But Westinghouse did it and succeeded. As in the kingdom of heaven, it becomes the possession of the saints who fight through persistent faith.
