Title: The Faith of Moses
Title: Moses' attitude of faith (Deuteronomy 34:1-12)
How was the anesthetic discovered in the evangelism message? James Simpson, a British obstetrician and gynecologist, became a professor of obstetrics and gynecology at his alma mater, the University of Edinburgh, at the young age of 29. A devout Christian, Sir Simpson performed many surgeries at that time and was deeply moved by the pain he suffered during the operation. The Bible says, “The Lord God put Adam into a deep sleep, and while he slept, he took one of his ribs and filled it with flesh. The Lord God made a woman from the rib that he had taken from Adam, and brought her to Adam (Genesis 2:21-22). I was deeply moved by your words. Impressed by God's bizarre surgical technique, who created Eve from Adam without pain, Sir Simpson took these words into consideration and made an effort to develop an anesthetic for surgery, and finally discovered the anesthetic chloroform and came to that point. The discovery of anesthetics was truly amazing. But once a student told Professor Simpson during his lecture, what would he say about one of the most significant and precious discoveries of his life? asked
However, contrary to the expectations of many students, he unexpectedly did not mention anesthetics. After pondering for a while, Professor Simpson said the most precious discovery of my life was that I was a sinner and that Jesus was my Savior.
Hallelujah!
Even in the text here, Moses was such a great leader, but it is the fact that he only followed the will of God.
7 Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died, but his eyes were not dim, nor his strength waned.
What does this mean? The fact is that he was in good health at the time of his death. And the fact that he himself led the 600,000 Israelites to Mount Nebo means that the land of Canaan was in front of his eyes.
Then, of course, you did what you were supposed to do as Moses, right? If he were to die, wouldn't he be able to cry out for life just once like King Hezekiah? Also, please forgive me God and allow me to enter the land of Canaan when I make one mistake and say that I cannot enter the land of Canaan right in front of my eyes... This is a situation where I can pray enough. But what about it? Since God never calls us to die, we obey. This is the Lord! Do as you will.. Just like Mary, I am a maidservant, so please do as you will..
But he does not pray to prolong his life. They do not pray for them to enter the land of Canaan. I will do only the will of the Lord. I am a sinner. I hear these voices.
Why didn't Moses realize that he was a sinner and pray like this? When he asked for water at Meribah, he took his staff and commanded the rock to bring water, but when he struck the rock twice, he led them to the land given to them because they did not believe in God and did not show my holiness in the sight of the children of Israel. You said you couldn't take it.
Moses said in Numbers 12:3, “This man, Moses, was more gentle than all the people on the face of the earth. After all, he did not believe in God and did not glorify God, so he must have been unable to express his feelings of not being able to lead and enter the land of Canaan right before his eyes. see.
Think of Moses standing on Mount Nebo.. How moving was the feeling of seeing the welfare of Canaan from Mount Nebo?.
1Moses went up from the plain of Moab to Mount Nebo, and came to the top of Mount Pisgah opposite Jericho, and the LORD showed all the land of Gilead as far as Dan, 2and all Naphdapli, and the land of Ephraim, and the land of Manasseh, and all the land of Judah as far as the West Sea, 3Negev. and the plains of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar.
How did Moses feel when he climbed Mount Nebo and looked at the land flowing with milk and honey? Is this really our land? I think you must have been very impressed.
I also climbed Mount Nebo on a pilgrimage to the Holy Land in 1995. At the top is the Moses Memorial. The land of Canaan seen from the top was like looking at heaven. The land designated by God.. The wide plain and the fog-covered end was a beautiful mountain area covered with a faint fog.
Why did it look so beautiful? Because it was God's land and because it was God's inheritance. It looks beautiful because it was an enterprise to show the glory of God.
How beautiful would our business be if it was only to reveal the glory of God?
It is not for the purpose of accumulating wealth, but for this work, let God's will be done, and God's glory may be revealed. I think God will be thrilled. When that happens, I trust that you will be guaranteed, protected, and guided.
Professor Lee Byung-wook, the king of doctor evangelism who published a book called Faith,
“We need to empty ourselves of power, fame, wealth, knowledge, beauty, popularity, and greed, which we have been busy competing with, and discover the real us. Says. His Acts of Evangelism begins in the elevator on his way to work. At first, the residents who felt awkward because the doctor preached and was not in charge now recognize him and ask, “What is the best way to live a life of faith?” Only his life itself was God's inheritance from the body. The Philippine remote medical missionary has been doing for decades.
God's land is beautiful. God's inheritance is beautiful, but with the land of Canaan right in front of you,
4 The LORD said to Moses, "This is the land I swore to Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob to give to his descendants.
If you are like me, can you do that right now, Lord? Is there such a big reward for one mistake? please forgive me..
But Moses did not save any more lives. Now that I have finished my mission, I will obey the will of the Lord. Obedient Moses.
When Jesus was nailed to the cross, He also died on the cross.
Following God's will, Moses eventually dies. Verse 5 So Moses the servant of the LORD died in the land of Moab, according to the word of the LORD, and was buried in the valley in the land of Moab opposite 6 Beth-peor; to this day no one knows where he was buried.
In the end, Moses raises his successor and dies.
9 And Moses laid his hands on Joshua the son of Nun, and he was full of the spirit of wisdom; and the children of Israel obeyed Joshua, just as the LORD commanded Moses. Joshua chapter 1 is the word the Lord spoke to Joshua when Moses was appointed as his successor by laying his hands on Joshua.
Joshua, who was appointed as Moses' successor, had no choice but to be afraid and trembling. Moses suffered many hardships from the people. There were many times when he was stoned to death because there was no water and there was nothing to eat, so even though Joshua had a strong heart, he was afraid and trembling. Then God said to Joshua, Joshua 1:9, have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or be dismayed, for the LORD your God is with you wherever you go.
How beautiful is the life of Moses? How blessed is a life that only fulfills God's will and then raises up a successor?
I hope that we too will follow God's will and build an inheritance of faith to pass on the legacy of faith to our descendants.
