Title: The Faithful Life / Revelation 2:10
(Rev 2:10) Be not afraid of the sufferings you are about to suffer, and behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, to be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. will give you
The three core principles of Eastern thought are filial piety to parents, loyalty to the king, and obedience to the teacher.
Here, it was one of the basic things that everyone had to protect as a loyal citizen.
So the person's past footsteps were judged by whether he was loyal or not. There are many passages in the Bible that call for a faithful life. One of them is Revelation 2:10. Let's take a look at some ways to live a faithful life.
1. A life faithful to God
We need to figure out right away who we are to be loyal to. You must be faithful to God. The reason for this is as follows.
1) God is the Creator.
God created all things in the universe with the word and made humans in His image. Human beings created in this way must obey God who is the subject of creation. This God is still demanding that humans made in His image be faithful to Him (Exodus 20:3).
(Exodus 20:3) You shall have no other gods before me.
We must give the right answer to this request.
2) Because God is the Redeemer
God loves us and sent His Son to this earth as a propitiation sacrifice (John 1:9) so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).
Therefore, we must lead a life of loyalty to God who practiced the love that shed blood for us.
3) Because God is the providence
God made us, redeemed us, and governed us.
Today, in the hot work of the Holy Spirit, He protects us and makes His work come true.
In order for our lives to be loyal, we need to live while always looking out for ourselves.
Let's be faithful to God, Immanuel, who protects us today.
2. A life of loyalty to society
We humans cannot exist alone. Since me and others are always in a relationship, this world is properly formed. I can't live on my own, and I'm supposed to help each other.
God also said that it is not good for man to be alone (Genesis 2:18), and made men and women form society.
This society is moved by the will of God. We have a duty here to carry out God's will.
Today's society has lost its social justice. In these circumstances, it is most necessary to fulfill the will of Jesus Christ. As Christians, we must be faithful to bear the offices of Christ's light and salt in this society.
We have a duty to establish the meaning and purpose of human existence and lead a faithful life.
This is to realize right justice in this society through the ministry of light and salt. Christians must have a priestly mission against social evils.
3. A life faithful to oneself
Jesus valued the souls of human beings, created in His image, more precious than the world.
Humans, who are more precious than this world, must fulfill their mission right away. This is the way to be loyal to yourself.
Loyalty to oneself comes from fulfilling one's duties and responsibilities. It is important for us humans to understand our own text and live faithfully.
This should be condensed to the glory of God, and through this the kingdom of Jesus Christ should be established on this earth.
He who is faithful to himself knows how to take care of himself. This person does not use himself in a lowly manner. Human beings, the body created by God and the temple of the Holy Spirit, must be used with dignity.
Therefore, we need to live faithfully to ourselves. This is the way to love yourself the most.
conclusion
The faithful are the victors. For him, life is bound to be crowned.
What is our life like? Were you loyal to God? Are you being light and salt to society? Are you faithful to yourself?
Let's answer these questions honestly.
Only the victor has a crown. Are we winners? Or are you a failure? Let's live so that our lives can be recognized as loyal ones in the distant future.
[Be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life.]
