Title: The First Fruits of the Resurrection
Contents
first fruits of the resurrection
(2007.04.08.Easter Sunday) (1 Corinthians 15:19~26)
If the egg doesn't come out of the chick - the person who puts the egg into the incubator and waits is probably the most foolish. It would be much more profitable to eat steamed rather than steamed.
If rice does not sprout even after pouring it into the bed, the person making the nail bed would be the most foolish person. It would be much more profitable to grind the whole thing and eat the rice cake.
However, if you put fertilized eggs in an incubator and wait, chicks will come out, and if you pour rice into the bed, sprouts will come out.
So, farmers spare no seeds and invest with the hope of producing chicks and seeing a lot of rice.
If there is no afterlife, there is no resurrection, there is no heaven, and there is no hell - the world will be a world of darkness, and among them, those who believe will suffer the most.
(15:19) - “If all we hope in Christ is the life of this world, then of all men we are the most pitiful.”
If there is no resurrection, no afterlife, no heaven and no hell, this world will become a lawless world.
The strong will be tyrannical, and the clever will become even more evil - just like the world of animals, it will become a world of weak flesh, a world of darkness.
Those who live righteously will lose, those who live with conscience will suffer, and those who live by faith will suffer the most.
But don't worry, the resurrection is sure to come. After the resurrection, there will be judgment. After judgment, you will go to heaven and hell according to the result. And heaven is eternal and hell is eternal.
Also, please believe that we who believe in Jesus will have eternal happiness in the eternal heaven.
1. Jesus was resurrected from the first extinction.
If there was no resurrection - the most unfortunate would have been Jesus, who was dragged like a sinner, beaten, ridiculed, crucified, speared, put on a hat of thorns, and died without sin.
But Jesus, who was crucified and pierced with a spear, was resurrected three days after he died.
The people guarding the tomb were terrified, and the people who took the lead in killing Jesus were afraid and held an emergency meeting - but angels in bright white robes came down from the sky and rolled the stone door out of the tomb and escorted the resurrected Jesus (Matthew 28:2- 3). - Jesus is clearly resurrected. He resurrected gloriously.
That resurrection is not only the resurrection of Jesus, but it is also the resurrection that teaches the lesson that all people will be resurrected.
(15:20) - “But now Christ has risen from the dead, and is the firstfruits of them that slept.”
(15:21) - “For since death came through one man, also the resurrection of the dead came through one man” - Amen !!
Let's welcome the risen Jesus who overcame death. Let us give thanks to Jesus who rose from the firstfruits.
2. The saints are also resurrected.
Jesus is clearly resurrected. He was resurrected as a victor. He resurrected gloriously.
Was it the resurrection of Jesus alone? no.
(15:22) - “As in Adam all died, so in Christ all shall be made alive” - Amen!!
After Adam committed the sin of disobeying God and died, all mankind became sinners and died.
But Jesus, who washed away all our sins by dying as a substitute for our sins, was resurrected. Jesus' death is the death that washes away our sins. Jesus' resurrection is the resurrection that brings us back to life - do you believe it? do you believe
You must believe in this precious truth. You shouldn't believe it.
Are you sure that Jesus' resurrection will save you? Do you believe in Jesus? - There is reason to believe.
(15:23)-“But each one in his own turn, first, Christ the firstfruits, and then those who belong to Christ at his coming”-. Those who believe in Jesus will surely be resurrected. we are resurrected
Those who believe in Jesus and are resurrected will go to the kingdom of Jesus and live happily ever after.
Are you not looking forward to the kingdom of heaven where you will live by believing in Jesus and resurrecting? Let's taste heaven in advance.
(Rev 21:3-4) - "I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and God will be with them, and they shall be God's people, and God Himself will be with them, He will wipe away the tears from their eyes, and death will be no more; there will be no more mourning or crying or pain, for the first things have passed away.” I believe that you will live happily ever after.
3. Unbelievers are also resurrected.
For those who cannot go to heaven, it would be less unfortunate if there was no resurrection.
However, those who cannot go to heaven will be resurrected without exception. What will they be? Where is their afterlife?
(15:26) - “The last enemy to be destroyed is death.” - Jesus' enemy is the devil. And those who do not believe in Jesus. They said death. It does not end with the death of the body alone.
Death here refers to eternal suffering and eternal misery. - He's talking about hell.
Who will go to hell? - Jesus said that the enemy is going. That's where the unbelievers go.
(Rev 21:8) - “But the fearful and the unbeliever and the abominable and the murderers and the fornicators and the sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall be cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, which burns with fire and brimstone. the second death” - Other sins can be forgiven, but the sin of unbelief is unforgivable.
(Rev 20:15) - “Whoever was not written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.” - Except for those who go to heaven, everyone goes to hell. There is no middle ground. The Catholic claim that there is purgatory is false.
Heaven is the pinnacle of happiness.
What about hell? What kind of place is Hell that is described as a lake of fire? - How painful it must have been for a person who went to Hell to - Dip a drop of water on the tip of his finger and ask him to feed him? (Luke 16:24) - It is such a painful lake of fire. - Could it be?
Let's look at (Mark 9:48) - "Where the worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched" - It is a place where there is only eternal suffering that can never die again.
Dear saints, our Jesus overcame all the tricks of the enemy the devil and was resurrected.
He resurrected victoriously. He was resurrected in glory. - Let's praise the resurrection of Jesus.
Just as the resurrection of Jesus is the resurrection of victory - a victorious resurrection awaits those who believe in Jesus.
Let's give thanks to Jesus who was resurrected from the first fruits to give us a victorious resurrection and a resurrection to heaven.
And I pray that you will keep your unchanging faith well and continue to grow with a more mature faith.
We thank God for showing in advance how miserable the hell the unbelievers go to - have pity on the unbelievers and do your best to lead them to believe in the Lord Jesus of the Resurrection.
When we celebrate the sacrament of the Lord's Supper, which was given in advance before he died on the cross, today we also give thanks for the life Jesus gave for us. Congratulations on being victors.
