Title: The Flames of Revival Again

Contents

The flames of revival are again on this earth (Acts 2:37-41).

Today, the church, which should be the salt and light of the world, is losing its power as the world condemns it. In this situation, the Korean church is now longing for the great revival that took place in Pyongyang in 1907 to happen again in this land. God saved individual souls, saved families, and saved churches by causing a nationwide revival movement centered in Pyongyang to overcome the suffering of the nation through martyrdom. How can we also experience revival like the great Pyongyang revival?

1. It is in the proclamation of the right word.

2. There was thorough repentance (prayer).

Receiving the Holy Spirit as a gift applies to those who repent and believe in Jesus for the first time, but it also applies to those who have already believed in Jesus. In order to experience the powerful work of the Holy Spirit, repentance, right attitude, faith, baptism, worship, supplication, unity, patience, and unconditional obedience are necessary. But the starting point of all this is repentance. Repentance is the key that unlocks the door to revival. Repentance is the forsaking of all sins. It is to forsake all the sins you have committed. Sin is blocking the channel through which God's life, power, and blessings come down. In order to have honest fellowship with God, we must confess our sins and clear them up (1 John 1:6-10).

Repentance encompasses the intentional will. Repentance is, in an intellectual sense, a change of mind. Repentance is emotionally remorseful with sorrow and pain for sin. Repentance is, in the will, leaving what is to be departed and paying what is due. True repentance takes place only when the head (intellect), heart (sentiment), and behavior (will) change.

Korean church members cry out and pray, but why doesn't revival happen? Because it does not erase sins. It is because they do not depart from their sins while weeping and confessing. We must admit our sins, repent, and settle. At that time, the Holy Spirit saves our hearts, and saves our homes, churches, and societies. True repentance in the head, heart, and deed is the key that unlocks the door to revival.

3. The result is revival. (41)

If 3,000 people at once repented and believed in Jesus after hearing Peter's sermon, this would be a great revival. Revival is a phenomenon in which the powerful work of the Holy Spirit occurs simultaneously and in many people. Repentance that vomits up sins like vomiting food, sudden sanctification that changes in a wonderful way after quitting sin, the assurance that people who only hear God and the truth of God can see it (Job 42:5), burning evangelism and expansion of heaven, the soaring of the Holy Spirit When these appear simultaneously, such as the appearance of one gift, fervent devotion (Isa 6:1-8), and exhilarating victory over evil spirits, we call it revival.

In 1907, Pyongyang was a city of despair, a city of despair that had no spiritual hope enough to be called the city of Sodom. When the Holy Spirit performed the Great Chamber, a remarkable change occurred. People's lives have changed, churches have changed, cities have changed. A powerful new wind of repentance and change blew across the country. In order for the great revival in Pyongyang to reappear in our time in 1907, we must yearn for the filling of the Holy Spirit. Preaching should be done using the word of God as a sharp sword. We must repent of the sins pointed out sharply through the sermon and return to God by paying off them.

We must repent. The sin of idolatry, the sin of loving money more than God and children more than God, the sin of doing something that God hates for the sake of honor, power, and position without even the slightest hesitation. We are arrogant, greedy, deceitful, corrupt, We must repent of adultery, sexual corruption, embezzlement, theft, hatred, indolence, disobedience to parents, and division. Sin must be acknowledged and confessed. If you have suffered any damage, you must specifically repay it. Sins committed publicly must be publicly repented and settled. We must restore the vital fellowship we enjoy every moment with the living God. We must serve the true God right in the field of our lives. When we hear God's rebuke and turn away, God pours out the Holy Spirit in full. Even today, God will bring storms of the Holy Spirit, storms of revival, storms of life, and miraculous storms upon us as individuals, churches, and peoples today.
