Title: The Four Hearts of the Holy Spirit
Contents
Acts (3) The four major hearts given by the Holy Spirit (Acts 1:6-8)
1. humble heart
The Lord only thought that the disciples would be glorified at first. Just before he was taken up on the cross, he struggled with “Who will sit at the right and left of Jesus?” and made Jesus’ heart heavy, and when he ascended to heaven, he asks about the restoration of the human kingdom and shows such a human desire (verse 6). After receiving the filling of the Holy Spirit in the Darakbang incident on the day of Pentecost, their appearance completely disappeared, and the human desire that followed them thoroughly turned into holy hope.
If you are filled with the Holy Spirit, you are no longer interested in left and right justice. For the sake of the kingdom of God, I think it is okay to stay in the middle and martyr. In the same way, the Spirit begets humility, and a humble heart begets a faithful life. Don't absolutize yourself before God, but relativize yourself. And always live by examining who you really are in the presence of a holy God.
2. A gentle heart
The heart most associated with a humble heart is a meek heart. A meek mind is not a weak mind, but a mind that controls itself well. To receive the blessing of being a head, the most necessary thing is meekness. Easily lose control and explode in anger threatens the peace of the community. Don't build up your catch-up ability after an explosion, and take control in advance so that it doesn't explode.
When Jesus spoke of his personality, he said, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am meek and lowly in heart” (Matthew 11:29). The Holy Spirit is the one who gives us the power to live like the Lord. If you are filled with the Holy Spirit and truly want to resemble the Lord, never lose your meekness and humility. The power of meekness is the power to move forward toward your dreams and visions with a fortitude in difficult situations.
3. Matching Minds
Saints are called to reconciliation, peace, and unity. When the Holy Spirit comes upon us, our life forms are heated with a heart of unity, forgiveness, and reconciliation rather than being heated. Now, the culture of blaming others is spreading rapidly, trying to thoroughly examine other people's small mistakes and ignore their own big faults. While forcing others to live by principles, he asks them to be flexible. It is the result of the departure of the mind that the Holy Spirit controls.
Everyone has faults, so try to cover each other up. With that basic attitude, try to revise, change, and create. If you look at it from the other person's point of view with the spirit of Yeokjisaji, it is fully understandable. Such understanding of others and the pursuit of reconciliation is ‘filled with the Holy Spirit’. The unity of mind created by the filling of the Holy Spirit is the most precious element of human success.
4. An adventurous mind
When the Holy Spirit comes upon us, visions will arise and we will have a holy adventure with a vision. In fact, living by faith means living with an adventurous spirit toward a new future. Have a pioneering spirit and live with passion. No great thing in this world has ever been accomplished without passion. You can feel happiness only when you have an adventurous life, and such a life is beautiful.
When the Lord challenges the holy adventure by saying, “Be my witnesses” (verse 8), the word “witness” is called “marture” in Greek, and the English word “martyr” comes from this. In fact, most of Jesus' disciples were martyred. Be captivated by God's vision and live an adventurous life. That's when the value and quality of life will change drastically. The future depends on my will and determination. No matter how hard you try to sing of hope, sing of hope and take the step of tomorrow's powerful adventure. A person filled with the Holy Spirit never despairs or becomes discouraged.
