Title: The Gift We Need
Contents
God is the only Father of life.
We call God Creator, or Father, because God formed man out of dust and breathed life into his nostrils.
All things created by God are operated according to God's will, but on the day when God's will is finally completed, the heavens will leave with a loud noise, the elements (element) will be dissolved in hot fire, and the earth and everything in it will be revealed before God. (2 Peter 3:10-11)
} However, those who were victorious on that day, that is, those who believed and accepted Jesus Christ, whom God sent as their Savior, Revelation 2:7 says, “God will give them permission to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise.”
While everyone lives only once, he or she sets the highest priority on what he desires and values the most. Students live for the purpose of study, entrepreneurs for business, and office workers for promotion. There is.
▣ But our Christian priority is
It should be seeking the kingdom and righteousness of God.
When you do this, you will inherit the kingdom of God that God allows, and your appearance will shine like a star in the sky as a reward from God.
God has invited us through his Son to share an eternal reward and an eternal kingdom as an inheritance to all people in the world.
▣ Isaiah 55:1 is the invitation that God gave to everyone in the world.
“Come, you who thirst, come to the waters, and he who has no money, come, buy and eat; come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.”
God decides what kind of reward he will give to those who are invited, but the size of the reward is ultimately determined by our faith and actions.
An elder who had been loyal to God and the church throughout his life passed away and went to heaven to meet an angel. The angel took him to a warehouse and brought a crown adorned with many diamonds and said, “This crown is when you were young. , a crown made for you, but this crown is no longer yours because you refused to give it to the Lord completely when you were young.
And the angel went to another storehouse and came out with another beautiful crown, but with only a few jewels, and said, “This was the crown you made in middle age, but you cannot receive it because you have spent part of your life in worldly pursuits. .
And lastly, he went to another warehouse and brought a worn-out hat without any jewels and said, “When the angel said, “This is the crown I have prepared for you,” the elder said to the angel, “Why is the crown prepared for me so insignificant? When asked, the angel said to the elder, that when you offered gifts for God, you were stingy, and your life of faith was also poor, so the crown you prepared for your whole life was not worth it. They say
People love awards, regardless of whether they are adults or children, but not everyone gets them.
An award is a commemoration of an achievement for merit, and there are small awards and large awards.
If you live with ordinary people and enjoy everything that others do, you will not be able to receive a prize.
It is the same with the life of a saint.
According to 1 Corinthians 12:4 and below, there are many gifts that God has given to His people, as we know well: wisdom, knowledge, faith, healing, miracles, prophecy, discernment of spirits, tongues, and interpretation.
Gifts are purely God-given, but we can receive them from God through our faith.
▣ The heavenly reward we will receive in the future will be determined by how wisely we use this gift that God has given to each of us for the sake of His kingdom and His righteousness. The gifts that God gives to His people are not universal, but spiritual, so they are worthy of the Kingdom of God and His righteousness.
▣ Today's text also says, "Faith, hope, and love will always be there." is recorded.
The gift of faith, hope, and love is a very universal gift that God gives to His people, but in the end we worship through this gift, the gift of faith, and through the gift of hope dedicate ourselves to the Lord and the Church, Through the gift of love, I can prepare for a heavenly reward while serving someone other than myself.
These three gifts, faith, hope, and love, seem to be very universal gifts, but since they are not practiced by everyone, we must long for these gifts, seek, seek, and knock them to receive them.
1. What is the gift of faith?
In Galatians 3:23 and below, before faith came into the world, all people were bound and prisoners under the law, but through the coming of faith (Jesus) into the world, we have gained the grace to be justified.
▣ Because the gift of faith is a free gift from God that not only can we be set free under the law, but we can also receive forgiveness of sins and be born again as God's children, we must have the gift of faith.
This gift of faith is to believe that God is the Creator, and at the same time to believe that Jesus is the Son of God, the Savior of our lives, and to believe that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of God.
Because the gift of faith is not something that we can force ourselves to have, we should always live by asking God for the gift of faith, faith that is greater than today and tomorrow.
} Ephesians 2:8 says, “Faith is a gift from God.” said,
Hebrews 11:6 says, “Without faith it is impossible to please God.” You said.
Because people are born with original sin, they cannot believe in God by birth, do not believe in God's words, and do not understand and understand the words of God. It is difficult to believe and follow because it blinds people's hearts and blocks the eyes to see God and the ears to hear the word by covering up the light of the gospel. (Romans 1:28-)
} However, if we receive the gift of faith, we can do things that please God.
Even now, the body is in the church, but I do not know how many people have faith in the world.
Because there are some people in the church who are called saints but have not received the gift of faith, they cannot throw away the old corrupting customs, so they are not resembling God and becoming like the world.
Dear saints, Remember that the gift of faith is an essential gift that allows us to overcome the world and receive God's reward in this life and in the life to come.
Jesus said to the blind man in Jericho in Matthew 9:29, “According to your faith, let it be done.” You said.
2. The second gift we will seek, seek and knock on is the gift of hope.
Romans 8:24 - "For by hope we have been saved, and hope that is seen is not hope.
Hope is a gift from God to His children because the world is so desperate.
If the world we live in is hopeless, hope cannot be a gift from God.
The world we live in is always full of things that are contrary to the life of the saints.
▣ The reason why the Apostle John said to overcome the world is that the world is being moved by God's economy, but the devil and God's grace coexist in the world we live in, so we intentionally receive the gift of hope, a gift from God. You must have it to resist the devil.
This is because if we do not have the gift of hope in a world that is symmetrical with the life of the saints, we not only cannot continue our life as children of God, but we can also be discouraged from falling apart in the face of obstacles, great and small.
▣ The secret to the fact that Abraham, a Chaldean, an idolatrous man, became the father of faith, and Moses and David, the shepherds, were able to become leaders and kings. They had the gift of “hope” toward God. Remember that it was possible because even the rich have the gift of hope to trust God to the end, and I pray that you will have the gift of “hope” toward God.
Despair always surrounds us and blocks our faith growth, prayer and zeal, even if it prevents us from seeing the reward God will give us.
If we have hope, like the words of Romans 8:18-, we can overcome the hardships of the present and long for the glory to come.
If despair is a disease that leads to death, believe that hope is the medicine that leads to life, and I hope that you will always worship, pray, and practice a life of devotion in hope.
3. The third gift we will seek, seek and knock on is the gift of love.
When the members of the Corinthian church were receiving various gifts and arguing with each other over which gift was the greatest, Paul wrote a letter to the Corinthians and told them that the greatest gift is love.
And he wrote the famous 1 Corinthians 13, telling us to long for the greatest gift, the gift of love.
We must have the gift of love because people cannot live without love, and love is not something everyone can do like a singer sings. Love is never easy.
In the book “Praise makes even whales dance,” it is said that the power that the trainer trains the great killer whale to dance comes from “love,” which is “praise.” (Praise is acknowledging others.)
▣ Love is the greatest gift we must have, but in reality, we lack the power of love in our lives because of sin.
It is said that the root of sin is selfish greed and greed, and it is said that love does not seek self-interest, but sin causes man to seek his own self-interest without knowing it.
Because love is a special gift that God has given to the world, if we do not receive the gift of love, not only do we have no one to love, but we also cannot be loved by others.
The reason couples who love each other get divorced is that they love each other and even get married, but because they do not have the gift of love, they cannot love the person they love.
We long for the most basic gifts of faith, hope, and love, and we ask for the powers that we can show others, such as works, healings, prophecies, etc., but the gifts we will have for our own reward, the kingdom of God, and its righteousness. Remember that God is the gift of faith, hope, and love, and I pray that you may please God with these three gifts by asking, seeking, and knocking, so that you may receive your reward in this world and in the world to come.
