Title: The Glory of Christ (John 07:37)
On the last day of the feast, the great day, Jesus stood up and cried out, "If anyone is thirsty, let him come to me and drink." Jesus said Isaiah 55:1,3 You who thirst, come to the waters, and he who has no money, come. Come and buy wine and milk without price and without cost, incline your ear and come to me, and hear, and your soul will live. - God's Word Therefore Jesus = God John 7:38 Whoever believes in me, as the scripture says, in his belly there will flow rivers of living water. John 4:14 Whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never thirst. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water springing up to eternal life. John 7:39 This was speaking of the Holy Spirit, whom those who believe in him will receive. Believers receive the Holy Spirit as a gift.
It is received freely (cf. Isaiah 55:1).
Just like the name in the Bible, Christ came in the flesh, died on the cross, and rose from the dead on the third day as recorded in the Bible to fulfill God's promised covenant. John 20:9 (We read in the Bible that He rose from the dead. They did not yet understand the words that he must rise again) Psalm 16:10 Likewise, it is already recorded in the Bible that those who believe in Jesus will receive the Holy Spirit.
John 7:39b (Because Jesus had not yet been glorified, the Holy Spirit was not yet upon them) The status of Christ
1. Degrading Status
2. Exalted status Therefore Christ was resurrected = “glorified” Q. Why did Jesus have to come into this world? Did he have to die on the cross? Did he have to be resurrected?
1. Why did He have to come? No one has ever seen him or can't see him. That's why he reveals himself and reveals himself. This is called "revelation." It is revealed through the Word, miracles, nature, and the Bible. And He Himself took on human flesh and presented Himself to man.
John 1:14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth EX. PHILIP "Show me the Father" JESUS "He who has seen me has seen the Father; why do you say, Show him the Father?"
