[Lee Sang-hyuk] The happiest people

the happiest people

They brought the boats to shore and left everything and followed Jesus (Luke 5:11).

He said, “Come, follow me, and I will make you fishers of men” (Matthew 4:19).

What are you happiest and happiest when something happens?

When Mom and Dad bought me a delicious pizza, when I got my favorite Pikachu and Pok mon dolls as gifts, or when I went to a fun amusement park?

The man I would like to introduce from now on is a fisherman who catches fish. My name is Peter. So when is Uncle Peter the happiest? It was just catching a lot of fish on the beach. Uncle Peter was happy and happy when he caught a lot of fish when he went to the beach in a boat.

On that day too, Peter went out to sea with a net in a small boat. But even when it was dark, Uncle Peter could not catch a single fish. Uncle Peter is very, very sad.

Uncle Peter was washing empty nets in the morning without catching any fish. Jesus came and got into Uncle Peter's boat. Then he sat in the boat and preached the word of God to many people.

After Jesus has finished speaking, he is speaking to Uncle Peter.

“Go out into the deep and cast your nets for a catch.”

Uncle Peter said, “Jesus, I have been casting my net all night, but I have not caught a single fish. But, as Jesus said, I will cast the net once more.” I obeyed and answered. Then he threw the net into the sea. But what is this?

The net was full of fish. There were so many that the nets were torn. Uncle Peter couldn't rescue them all by himself, so he called his friends.

“Hey, my friends, help me. There is so much meat that I cannot do it alone.”

There was so much fish that it was filled not only in Peter's stomach, but also in his friend's stomach.

Uncle Peter was really happy and happy.

But uncle Peter wasn't happy and happy because the meat was folded a lot.

What made you so happy and happy? Because I met Jesus. And because my beloved Jesus said to follow me. So Peter left the boat and net and followed Jesus. I became a disciple of Jesus.

Children!

As I said at the beginning, I am happy and happy when I eat delicious pizza and go to a fun amusement park, but that joy disappears when I eat all the delicious food and when I return home from the amusement park.

How, then, can we experience lasting joy and happiness?

Just like Uncle Peter, our friends will have lasting happiness and joy when they meet Jesus. How do you meet Jesus?

When we go to church and worship, when we pray while thinking of Jesus who died on the cross for us at home, when we sing praises, we meet Jesus. When we preach to our friends, Jesus gives us wisdom and is with us. And Jesus whispered to our friends. "Follow me"

The friends who gather here to worship are happy people.
