Title: The Highest Knowledge

Text: Philippians 3:5-9

The ultimate goal of people's lives is the pursuit of happiness. However, there are different ways to be happy. Some people try to be happy with their possessions. By the time you found out it was useless, it was already too late. So people are regrettable beings. I am a transcendent person like this, so I can say with confidence. Again, I try to be happy with being pretty. All Koreans are pretty and slim. It is a problem to set the standard of happiness on external things. Some people put things on possessions, some people enjoy, and some people put things on physical things like slim, so they don't even know the concept of the precious things in life. Just focus on what appears, what you see.

Of course, it is God's absolute command that we should be happy. In the Bible, the constant command to “rejoice always, give thanks, pray, do this, do that,” is a command given to the people living on this earth to become happy. The many commands, commandments, and demands of the Bible are all for us. Today's text suggests a way of living a happy life that is truly happy, grateful, hopeful, capable, and victorious without disappointment. It says that knowing and living with Jesus is the noblest knowledge.

First, I am blessed to find myself.

It is a blessing and a grace to discover my discoveries. You will know my past, my present, my future, my destiny, my roots, and heaven. Even when the hour of my destiny is coming, there is no fear. “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith... 1 Timothy 4:7)” The confident Paul knew Jesus deeply. . It was the clear knowledge of the spiritual world behind Jesus. It is incredible that we see, believe, and hope for God's spiritual world even though we live in the clothes of the flesh. For those who do not believe, it is unimaginable.

Do you know that you are usually those who have received grace? Because you do not know it, you are not sure of your life of faith. Knowing this, you will know the value of believers. Karl Barth said, “When I look at the cross, I find my worth.” Knowing Jesus is a great opportunity, a blessing, an encounter, and a blessing. It is only by knowing him that you come to know my existence. True happiness comes from meeting Jesus. Jesus is the Spirit of life, the Spirit of restoration, the Spirit of rebirth, and the Spirit of resurrection. Many people give up on life because they do not know this.

Second, our life becomes warmer.

When I live according to the will of the Lord and really think of the Lord as my priority in my life, He is watching me behind the scenes. When we struggle with ourselves, God sees how we behave. If God is truly a living, providential and working God, we must believe in it. God sees it. You are determined to push the future of the young man who gives up a good job for the sake of the week. This is the life of faith. When I truly know Jesus deeply and live with him, he opens my eyes to see me and makes me see my present, future, destiny, and the kingdom of God, and warms my life. The life of faith is a wonderful, fun, savory, and moving life.

Third, you will open your eyes to the world.

Believers must open their eyes to the world. If they are trapped in the categories of “I” and “we”, they become petty. become indifferent to others. It is also the part that God cares most about Christians. Social responsibility disappears. It is said that 170,000 people have 6 houses in Gangnam. They may have intervened directly or indirectly in the rise of house prices. There is no homeless person in their eyes. I'm not interested, I'm only interested in multiplying my fortune. It is said that the Red Cross dues are not collected in rich neighborhoods. It's because I can't open my eyes.

When you open your eyes after meeting Jesus, you see the sinful, humble and unclean “I”, not the great and wonderful “I,” and you will fall on your knees. And you see “you”. You will know what to do with “you”. You can also see the souls of your neighbors. This is the greatness of faith. True fullness means that both you and I are full, and true happiness means that both you and I should be happy. The eyes that see “you” are also the eyes that are opened at the same time when the eyes that see “I” are opened. As we mature, we must see our “comrades” with more piercing eyes. Then the prayer will be enlarged.

A true Christian is seeing everyone as a brother. Bible study is an eye-opening task. Open your eyes so that you can see yourself, see your neighbor, see the providence of God, and see the will of God. With these open eyes, the Lord is still working here by borrowing the hand of the Holy Spirit. He is healing you with that working hand.

Shinyu is not only healing the sick, but also treating and working continuously so that they can live a healthy life without getting sick. It is a more sophisticated, luxurious, and deep healing in itself. The work of healing takes place through the worship service. That is why we maintain our health and live in this world that is bound to get sick.

Even now, the Lord has come and quietly provides and is working to open your eyes. He opens us to see, to feel, to experience, and to see the providential hand. This is a miracle.

Next week is Pentecost Sunday. I pray that God's grace will be with you in this church, your spiritual eyes will be opened in the Lord, and you will be filled with the blessings of receiving blessings from the Lord about what we must do and what God's grace is.
