If they hadn't realized that they were 'Enos', that is, beings who had no choice but to die, they would not have realized their plight even though they continued to live a life of ignoring the Creator. Only those who have a real sense of this fact know the preciousness of life and cultivate their own lives according to the word of God who created life.
“Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Acts 2:21).
Several years ago in the United States, an 18-year-old boy named Leina White was dying of AIDS when TV and newspapers clashed. That's right! The most precious gift in this world is meeting Jesus. God loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten Son, Jesus, as a gift. The name “Jesus” given as a gift by God is not a name given by man. Neither was the name given to him by his parents, Maria or Joseph. The name “Jesus” is a name given by God. An angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph and said,
“You will give birth to a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he will save his people from their sins.”
When there is a storm in your heart, when you cannot sleep with worry and anxiety, when you feel alone in the world, and when all your loved ones are gone, call on the name of the Lord. Call on the name of the Lord with all your heart. All the storms of your heart are gone, and deep in your heart a still, deep peace, and love begin to gently rise.

There are more and more people attacking and criticizing the church in Korean society these days. Some of the unbelievers even profane the name of God. In particular, the Internet world is becoming a stage for anti-Christian forces. The world is under the sovereignty of God, but also the ruler of the air is exercising his power. Therefore, there is a constant spiritual war going on. In this world, believers may be persecuted and attacked by Satan.
The reality that the Israelites faced after liberation from slavery in Egypt was not a land flowing with milk and honey. The reality that unfolded before them was a wilderness. The wilderness is the place of life for those who have been saved. God quenches the hope he has set for the Israelites in this wilderness. It is the dream of "a kingdom of priests", a "holy people". God wanted His name to be sanctified through a holy people. However, the Israelites rebelled against God and their leader Moses countless times in the wilderness. He saved people who would die as slaves for the rest of their lives, but they complained and complained even if it was a little difficult. Eventually they all died in the wilderness except for Joshua and Caleb. The mission of God's people is to be a holy people so that God's name may be sanctified. This is the meaning of the existence of God's people. This is the Lord's earnest prayer topic.
“We have boasted in God all day long; we will give thanks to your name forever” (Selah) (Psalm 44:8).
“I will sing praises to the name of God, and with thanksgiving I will say, ‘Great is God’” (Psalm 69:30).
Being able to call on God's name in our lives is a real blessing. The Israelites could not take the name of Jehovah God in vain. That is why he called him Adonai, or “Lord,” instead. The high priest only called that name once a year when he entered the Most Holy and prayed for all the people. Then, in what cases can we not call on God's name? “You shall not take the name of the LORD your God in vain, for the LORD will not hold him guiltless who takes his name in vain” (Exodus 20:7). What does 'go in vain' mean? In Hebrew, it means 'as if it were not real'. That is, do not treat God's name as if he did not really exist or as if he were of no value.

We should be thankful, “What is it that you put me in a position where I can help others?” and help others so that God's name is sanctified through me.
God's love is expressed through us humans. Therefore, we must not neglect sharing and caring for each other. As believers, we need to help each other and take care that no one is particularly poor. When the Israelis fail in business, the same ethnic group takes the lead to help. Their underlying consciousness is that living in poverty as a Jew is disgraceful as a chosen people. So, even though they live scattered around the world, they come together and help each other out.
We must exalt the name of Christ and always remember the name of God. And I must rely on that name for my last life. After all, we say, “God! May God's name be exalted through me. May the work I do bring glory to God.” We need to draw closer to God, relying on God.
