Title: The Holy Spirit and Prophecy
Contents br> In the name of God, under the guise of the Holy Spirit, they claim to receive prophecies and tell the prophecies they received while praying and laying their hands on those who actually come. Most of the prophecies they claim are about personal issues such as marriage, business, health, promotion, moving, children, entrance exams, and travel.
For example, if it is a prophecy about marriage, God tells you not to get married, or that you will meet a spouse in the year, month, and month. Whether or not you are the person ordained by God, that is.
If it is a prophecy related to business, it is like saying, “Do the business after a year, if it is a business, it will prosper, which direction to go to, and whether or not to do business with that person.”
When it comes to moving prophecies, when the house will be sold, don't move this year, move next year, don't move east, move west, and even if you move, don't move far from the church.
When it comes to prophecies related to children, such as when a child is born, when a child is born, a son is given, a daughter is given, what the next child will be like in the future, what kind of person will the children who are now raise well, thank God It's a prophecy (?) that says something like do it.
Other things related to health, promotion, entrance exams, travel, etc. are all prophesied in this way. They even say that they will surely win this election, or pray to a mother who has a daughter competing in the Miss Korea pageant and say, "Oh! Don't worry. It'll be fine." Or pray to a young man participating in athletics, " They say, “I will definitely win,” or tell the parents of the entrance exam students to apply for the college department and not to the college, or to say that there is no need to submit an application because this time you will fail.
They all pray with the power of the Holy Spirit, so God has taught them.
Some modern prophets (?) have bold (?) prophecies (?). They are said to prophesy (?) against the nation, the world, and Jesus.
They do not hesitate to say that our country will be reunified in one year, that there will be a world war in one year, that Jesus will come, and that he himself will play a central role in the unification of South and North Korea. Of course, all of them confidently say that God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit taught them.
Some prophets (?) do not hesitate to prophesy of blackmail threats.
The next time you have children, you will have a crippled child, that Seoul will burn in one year and Chicago will become a sea of fire in one year, that when your business will go down, something bad will happen to this house in the future, so be careful, this time They say that travel will bring great misfortune, that if you do not leave our church, bad things will happen, or that if you don't, you will die suddenly. They also say this in the name of God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit.
All of these people speak in such a way that the Holy Spirit has foretold them or told them beforehand through dreams, visions, voices, and intuitions that they give to their hearts. If they do not believe in, oppose, or treat their words or actions negatively, they say that they blaspheme the Holy Spirit, that blasphemy against the Holy Spirit is an unforgivable sin. He doesn't shy away from making threats.
There are so many people who claim to prophesy in God's name under the guise of the Holy Spirit, so most churches are helpless in the activities of these people's spirits, and they are silent on these activities, or moreover, church leaders who actively encourage and promote them (? ) is a fact.
Because only in this way, people will gather in the church and the church will revive (?). The reason behind the many prophecies and their followers in the modern church is that they have their own biblical convictions (?).
In other words, there are prophecies, prophets, and encouraging words about prophecy in the Bible. How do you deny prophecy? Prophecy is the conviction that it still exists today. God still gives prophecies by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Actually, it is not wrong to have these words in the Old and New Testaments. What error is there in the Word and God who gave the Word? The problem is that many people have been misinformed and deceived by the spiritually ignorant church leaders who misunderstand and misinterpret these precious words, and do not understand the basic meaning of the prophecies of the Bible and the truth of the Bible about how God works That's it.
Will God still give prophecies today? Let's think about this issue.
In the age of the Bible, God gave prophecies. In other words, it means that God foretells his will and plan before an event occurs in order to make it known to people. Therefore, prophecy is the word of God, but it is a word given in advance in time.
Because prophecy is the word of God, the Bible sometimes refers to the word of God itself as "prophecy."
“Know this first, that no prophecy of scripture is of any private interpretation, for no prophecy ever came by the will of man, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God” (2 Peter 1:20-21).
“Blessed are those who read and hear the words of this prophecy, and those who keep what is written in them, for the time is near” (Revelation 1:3).
There are many prophecies in the Old Testament.
Aaron (Ex 7:1), Abraham (Genesis 20:7), Amos (Amos 1:1), Ahijah (1 Kings 11:29), Ezekiel (Ezekiel 1:3), Balaam (Numbers 22:5), Daniel ( 9-12), Elijah (1 Kings 18:36), Elisha (1 Kings 19:16), Moses (Deuteronomy 34:10), Samuel (1 Samuel 3:20), Jonah (Jonah 3:4), Micah, Nahum, Habakkuk, Malachi, Jeremiah… … etc. Of course, in the name of God, they prophesied about individuals, nations, peoples, kings, false prophets, the coming Messiah, and the end of the world.
The New Testament also contains prophecies and records of those who prophesied.
A prophecy of the famine of Agabus.
“At that time the prophets came from Jerusalem to Antioch, and a man from among them, named Agabus, stood up and said in the Spirit, “There will be great famines throughout the world.” (Acts 11:27-28)
“After many days a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea and came to us, and took Paul’s belt and bound his hands and feet, saying, ‘This is what the Holy Spirit says, In Jerusalem the Jews bound the owner of this belt and delivered it into the hands of the Gentiles. I will give you.” (Acts 21:10-11)
It is said that there were prophets in the church in Antioch.
“There were prophets and teachers in the church at Antioch: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius the Cyreneite, Manaen the younger brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul” (Acts 13:1).
Philip's four daughters were said to be prophets.
“He had four daughters, who prophesied as virgins” (Acts 21:9).
Paul also prophesied.
“I beseech you, now you are in peace, and there will be no harm to your life, but only the belly. An angel of God whom I belong, whom I serve, stood by me last night and said, “Do not be afraid, Paul, because you must stand before Caesar, and God All those who sail with you have been given to you. Therefore, be at peace, everyone, I believe in God that it will be just as he said to me” (Acts 27:22-25).
"If we believe that Jesus died and rose again, so also those who sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. We say this to you by the word of the Lord. We who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord are more than those who sleep. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God; and the dead in Christ will rise first, and then we who are alive will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. We will always be with the Lord” (1 Thessalonians 4:14-17).
“For you yourselves know well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night, when they say, ‘Peace and safety,’ then sudden destruction will come upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman, and they will never escape.” 1 Thessalonians 5:2-3)
“The mystery of iniquity is already at work, but now there is someone stopping it, and it will be done until it is removed from among them. Then the lawless one will appear, and the Lord Jesus will kill him with the breath of his mouth, and his coming and appearing will bring an end. According to history, with all powers and signs and false miracles and all deceitfulness of unrighteousness, which will come upon those who are perishing, for they have not received the love of the truth, that they may be saved” (2 Thessalonians 2:7-10).
“But the Holy Spirit plainly says that in the latter days some will turn from the faith and follow deceitful spirits and teachings of demons” (1 Timothy 4:1).
“Know this, that in the last days afflictions will come when people will love themselves, love money, be proud, proud, slanderers, disobedient to their parents, unthankful, unholy, callous, unrepentant, accusers, uncontrolled, fierce, “Does not love what is good, and sells in treachery, hastily, sleeps, loves pleasures more than the love of God, who has the appearance of godliness, but denies the power of godliness. Turn away from such people” (2 Timothy 3:1-5).
Peter also prophesied.
“They will give account to those who are ready to judge the living and the dead” (1 Peter 4:5).
“Know this first, that in the last days mockers will come, walking after their own lusts, mocking them, saying, “Where is the promise of the coming of the Lord?” (2 Peter 3) :3-4)
“Now by the same word the heavens and the earth were kept for fire, reserved for the day of judgment and destruction of the ungodly” (2 Peter 3:7).
“But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and in that day the heavens will depart with a loud noise, and the elements will be dissolved with scorching fire, and the earth and all that is on it will be revealed” (2 Peter 3:10).
“Look for the coming of the day of God and long for it, for in that day the heavens will be consumed with fire, and the elements will be dissolved with scorching fire” (2 Peter 3:12)
John also prophesied.
