The Holy Spirit Helps Our Weaknesses
Romans 8:26-28
When we encounter difficult and difficult things in life, there are times when we think, 'I wish someone could carry my difficult and difficult burdens for me.' Today's Bible text introduces the person who will carry that 'hard burden' instead. It is “the Holy Spirit”. And today is Pentecost Sunday.
The Lord says to us, “Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden. Don't worry and don't be afraid. Leave it all to me!” As we pray, we lay down our burdens one by one. However, I often see the foolish figure of returning the burdens that had been laid down after the prayer is over. The Korean church is a church centered on the work of the Holy Spirit. Many saints also know the Holy Spirit well. However, they cannot convey the work of the Holy Spirit in a mature manner. They experience the 'Spirit Experience', 'Tongues' and 'Gifts', but they lack personal maturity. And sometimes, people who have experienced the Holy Spirit cause big problems in the church.
What is the difference between the Holy Spirit and the Evil Spirit? We must distinguish between the work of the Holy Spirit and the work of evil spirits. The work of the Holy Spirit is personal. It's based on personality, not power. The work of evil spirits is similar to the work of the Holy Spirit, but it does not have a personal aspect.
What is the Holy Spirit? The first is the Spirit of Christ. That is, the work of the Holy Spirit is to glorify the name of God. Second, the Holy Spirit has enlightenment through the Word. And third, the Holy Spirit is the church. The work of the Holy Spirit never harms the church. And we make the history of the church. The Holy Spirit has no ‘contact aspect’. When the work of the Holy Spirit occurs, the inspiration of worship and prayer arise. The Holy Spirit is like a dove, purifying the heart and is gentle. It also works with mystical powers. Therefore, without receiving the Holy Spirit, we cannot live a right life of faith.
Let the Holy Spirit take the wheel of my life. Then we will become powerful Christians. The Holy Spirit knows our situation. The Holy Spirit, who knows my troubles and tears, will be the comforter of your life. Believe in the work of the Holy Spirit and entrust your life to it. Do you know how the Holy Spirit helps us? In verse 26 of the text, there is the phrase “He helps”. If you solve this verse in Greek, you will find the meaning of three words combined. It is a combination of the meaning of ‘together, together, to lift and move places beyond my reach’. Are the burdens of life getting heavier and heavier? Are you living a difficult life every day? The Holy Spirit will lift you up and move you out of trouble in ways you can't even imagine. This is how the Holy Spirit helps us.
It is also the Holy Spirit who ‘groans’. The weight of life, the difficulties, the pain and suffering of failure. The Holy Spirit will touch us in our lives with the Lord. If you fail, do not forget that it is the voice of the Holy Spirit that it will be a new opportunity. In this way, the Holy Spirit groans with me and weeps with me when I cry.
