Title: The importance of being together

Contents

text background explanation

Today is the national holiday, Lunar New Year.

May God's great grace overflow in your life.

Let's take a look at the importance of the Word and the importance of being together with the main text.

First, the importance of the Word.

Verse 1 of the main text tells us that Jesus went to Capernaum while recording, “A few days later, Jesus went into Capernaum again, and there were rumors that he was at home.”

Matthew 4:13 records, “He left Nazareth and lived in Capernaum.”

It means that the mission center has been moved to Capernaum for public ministry.

In fact, much of Jesus' ministry took place in Capernaum.

He performed many miracles in Capernaum, including healing the centurion's servant, healing Peter's mother-in-law, healing a demon-possessed man, a paralytic, and a leper.

But Jesus says this in Matthew 11:23-24.

“Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will be brought down to hell. If all the powers that were done in you had been done in Sodom, the city would still exist to this day.

I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment than for you.”

A moment's miracle has the effect of focusing attention.

But it cannot change a person's personality and life.

In verse 2, Jesus “speaks the way.”

It means that you have proclaimed the word of God.

Jesus knew the purpose and desire of those who came to him.

Nevertheless, the Lord does not do what their primary wish is to be healed of their sickness and to solve their problems, but to preach the word.

Why?

It's about knowing your priorities.

He wanted the discovery and repentance of fundamental sins through the Word.

3 John 1:2 “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in good health, as your soul prospers.”

In order for the soul to prosper, we must listen to the Word of God.

The miracles and revival in the book of Acts began with the Word.

The word 'bok' is the most widely used word in the Korean language.

We are a nation that opens the new year with “Happy New Year”.

Blessings come, Blessings run away, Born with good fortune, cherish good luck, sow good fortunes, reap good fortunes, good fortune explode, good fortune pours out, look happy, eat happy, be happy, be blessed, baby When a child is born, the letter <Blessing> is engraved on the cloth, <Blessed> on the pillow, <Bok> on the bowl, <Bok> on the branches of the clothes, <Bok> on the closet, and even the <Bok> on the summary.

Even among the names of the old people, the overwhelming number of names are Bokdong, Bokdol, Cheonbok, Manbok, Suboki, Boksil, Boknyeo, Bokhee, Bokja, Bokrani, Boksooni...

If you are over 70 years old and have a sophisticated name, it is likely that you have changed your name or changed your name.

Most of us need these blessings to be material and physical, to become successful, earn money, and live a long life...

I have understood it this way.

So, what is the true blessing?

The word is a blessing.

It is a blessing to believe the word.

Revelation 1:3 tells us how to receive blessings.

“Blessed are those who read and hear the words of this prophecy, and keep the things written in them, for the time is near.”

Second, the importance of being together.

Verse 3: “They came to Jesus, carrying a paralytic on four of them.”

Four people help a paralytic who cannot move.

Ex) The story of Sun Dashing

They encounter disabilities.

Verse 4: “Because they could not bring him to Jesus because of the crowd, he would tear the roof of his dwelling place, make a hole in it, and lower the table of the paralytic.”

However, they do not give up and do their best to the end to bring them to Jesus.

Of course, through the rope.

The Lord looked at them and said in verse 5, “Look at their faith.”

It was not a selfish belief for one's own benefit, but a faith that showed love for others.

Ex) The opposite view of the believer

the importance of being together.

The four co-workers knew the secret.
