Title: The Ingratitude of Israel

Contents

Ezekiel 16:15-34 / Israel's ingratitude

* Looking at the text today / the word that comes to mind is [ingratitude].

- From the time I was thrown into blood - God made me live

& And, as the bride of God - He provided all good things...

& Israel rather / committed lewdness.

- They worshiped idols with all the gifts God had given them.

** And, who made me live / provided me up to now - I couldn't depend on God.

& Relying more on the powerful countries of the nations.

* Through today's text / What kind of God is... What are the lessons he gives me...

& Let's think about a few things.

1. Verse 15

* According to yesterday's words / up to now - everything is entirely by God's grace /

& God's great love.

- Those who are truly unworthy / Those who cannot but die in blood

& Choose with love... / Let me live

& Also, he provided me with all the good stuff / even made me a bride.

** If you look up to this point - you don't know how beautiful this drama is.

* [But] - In spite of God's so much love and grace

& Israel, the bride of God

& betrayed God / and committed fornication with everyone passing by.

- [But] / You betrayed that love of God.

** Today's [but] life!! - Don't/don't.

- As God poured out his love and devotion, // as God expected...

& (without disappointing) / Full of beautiful fruits - I hope you become like that.

2. Verse 15 again! look.

* Here, / the splendor and fame of this woman - who gave it?

- It was given by God, the bridegroom.

- Israel's beauty and glory - is entirely / by grace from God.

** Then / trust the God who gave you that grace - and thank you, right?

-By the way, / Israel is - not God.

& God-given splendor and fame - as if it came from him

& trust it more / brag about it.

*** They trusted the gift more / and were more delighted with it than the giver.

- We don't know how many / of this look to us today.

<Apply> Dear friends!

- These are the gifts of God's grace.

& Is there nothing that you depended on more than God / and made it your pride?

** I confess that everything I have become today is the grace of God.

& So, boasting only of God / relying only on God - I hope you will become such people.

3. Verses 16-19

* None of the things that Israel received did not come from God.

& they take what they have from God

& rather served idols.

- How could this be?

** Rather than thank God for blessings and gifts

& with that blessing - left God... // & served idols.

* With the gift God has given me - I have to serve God...

& it's rather bizarre - they use it.

<Apply>

1) First of all, it is a gift from God - it must not become an idol.

- God gave it to you - to serve God better with it.

<As well as material / children / honor...>

2)) God-given gifts - either to be used for God's sake or given to serve.

& wacky - if used / shouldn't.

- Material / should be used for your glory... - Not only for my own pleasure.

- Gifts should also be used for the glory of the Lord... - Not for my pride.

4. But / Why did you betray God like this?

Verse 22

- I forgot the old days when I was naked / covered in blood.

- Can't remember / what happened before.

** I have forgotten all the grace so far

<Application> Today I must never forget / remember - What is grace?

- Remember the grace God has bestowed on me.

- And, if there is an unforgettable favor that people have given me - remember.

5. Then, from verses 23 to 34, the word //

& Israel - without relying on God....

& Relying on the strong powers of the nations - God sees it as fornication.

- Up to now / God has saved you / God has raised you / God has clothed you

& if God washed / fed you // even made you queen...

& I must depend on God until the end

& relied on nations / more than God.

* God wants you to trust only God / to love only God.

& Israel trusted the powers / and loved idols more than God.

<Apply>

* We must rely only on the faithful God... /

& Other than God - is there nothing more to depend on?

- It could be money / it could be a person / it could be a line of resume...

& that's it.

* Relying only on God - I hope you will
