Title: Parable of Heaven!
In the Bible, parables of the kingdom of heaven appear in many places in the Gospels. From the parable of the sowing of the seed to the story of the five wise virgins, various parables about the kingdom of heaven are introduced. Among them, the parable about the kingdom of heaven presented in today's text can be said to be a word that clearly shows how wrong their thinking is to those who have the idea that if they just attend church today, everyone will go to heaven.
Borrowing the words of the text, the kingdom of heaven is expressed like a certain king who made a wedding feast for his son. The king sends his servants and orders them to bring in those who are to be invited to the wedding feast. However, the people who requested it did not want to come.
So the king thought, maybe it was because they were too burdened to come to the wedding feast? Or is it because there is not much to eat at the wedding feast, so I can't come? Thinking about it, he sent other servants this time and said to the people who invited them, 'I have prepared a banquet, and I have prepared a lot of my fat cattle and various delicious foods, so please feel free to come to the wedding feast.' Not only did they not pretend to have heard, but even if there were some who were listening, they said that they each had a lot to do, so they avoided the place without looking back.”
Not only that, but the evil and naughty people continued to annoy them, and they caught the servants and killed them. Angry at this, the king immediately sends an army to destroy the murderers and to burn the town with fire. This is the parable of the Jew and Jesus in heaven. The king here is God and the son is Jesus. And the servants sent by the king are prophets. The wedding feast refers to the marriage between the Son of God and the Israelites, and the people invited are the Israelites.
But the people who were invited did not want to come to the wedding feast. Why did they not want to come to the delightful wedding feast? The reason is that they are people who have already been recognized as children of God, but to whom are they having a wedding feast again? Even so, those who felt a little remorse in their conscience saying that they were the Son of God all went their own way, saying they had to plow the fields in front of the servants sent by the king. caught them and killed them.
These facts are already vividly proven by the Bible and the history of Israel, so those who go to church today are familiar with Samcheok-dong. So, what kind of relationship do Christians today have in relation to today's text? Today’s text verse 14 says, “Many are called, but few are chosen.” Christians thought that the Jews were not chosen because they did not believe in Jesus, and they (Christians) believed in Jesus. Because of this, there are many who think that they have been chosen. However, this can be a huge mistake.
Christians, too, should know that no one is wearing a robe yet. The robes can only be received as a gift through the Son of God. They believe in the name of Jesus, who came to the land of Israel after receiving evangelism from the lives of Gentiles who lived like dogs and pigs. Can you say that you are already in your wedding robes? This is not something that Christians usually misunderstand. We must remember that the Pharisees lived with that very thought, but went to destruction because they did not believe in Jesus.
Looking at the process of Gentiles becoming God's people, the king again tells his servants to go to the crossroads and bring as many people as they can find. The servants went to all directions and brought people they could find, and it was said that there were bad people and good people mixed in them.
This is because the evangelists who cry out in Jesus Heaven and Hell of disbelief today do not ask for water and bring people in by evangelizing everyone they meet. There are a lot of people in the church. There are people who come to church reluctantly, and there are people who come to church to satisfy their desires using the church as an excuse. Of course, there will be some who knock on the door of the church with a genuinely remorseful conscience. With this in mind, today's text is saying that the hands of both the evil and the good are full in the church.
Anyway, it is true that at least all of them were invited to the wedding feast of the Son of God, no matter how the Gentiles who lived like dogs and pigs left the church. The problem is, in order not to be kicked out of the king, you have to wear a wedding robe, and the question is where to get it. This is because no matter how much you are invited to a wedding feast, you cannot enter the wedding hall without wearing a wedding robe. If so, where should I get the robe and from whom? No one can obtain and wear that robe except through the very Son of God.
Despite this fact, all Christians today are their chosen people. Talking like people already in wedding robes. So, when Jesus returns in the air, everyone is excited about being lifted up in the air. 'no! The son has not come before them yet, so where did you get the robe?’ Are you thinking that the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Christ? The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of the essence of the Father. How can we say that the Spirit of the Father is the same as the Spirit of the Son?
It is precisely because of this illusion that all Christians today are mistakenly wearing the robes of Christ. Christ has not yet come before Christians. However, they mistake the Spirit of the Father for the Spirit of the Son and believe that the Spirit of the Son dwells within them. This really can't be the blind eye. The reason the Pharisees did not believe even when they saw Jesus with their eyes open was because they were overestimating themselves as God's holy people. These are the same ideas Christians have today.
Even today, even by washing your eyes, you can be sure that the Spirit of the Son is not yet among Christians. If Christians had the Spirit of the Son, they would not be able to find the fallen Christians as they are today. The Holy Spirit is the one who points out the sins of men by giving laws to believers, but Christ is the one who bears the sins committed by men.
Therefore, those who have been reborn as Christ should show that they are willing to sacrifice themselves in the image of Christ. But who today is willing to sacrifice themselves? Let alone sacrifices, even if there is a slight disadvantage to yourself, don't you open your eyes and fight for your own benefit? Just by looking at this, you will quickly know who owns the kingdom of heaven. Therefore, the word chosen is also a reference to those who have been regenerated into Christ. If so, are you currently preparing your wedding robes?
