Title: The Journey of Love
Contents
The first occurrence of the word love in the Bible is in Genesis 22.
* "The LORD said, "Offer your son, your only one, Isaac, whom you love, as a burnt offering."
(Genesis 22:2).
* Abraham loved Isaac, the promised child of his old age,
* Isaac took Rebekah as his wife and said that he loved her. Isaac loves his wife
Because of this, I was comforted by the sorrow of my mother Sarah (Genesis 24:67).
* Isaac loved Esau because he loved the meat he hunted, and Rebekah loved Jacob.
(Genesis 25:28).
* Because Jacob loved Rachel, he served seven years as a few days (Genesis 29:20).
* Jacob loved Rachel more than Leah and served Laban for another 7 years (Genesis 29:30).
* Leah wanted to be loved by her husband Jacob, who loved her younger brother Rachel more than herself.
She gave birth to her first son, Reuben, and expected “Now My Husband Will Love Me”
(Gen. 29:32).
* Leah also gave birth to her second son Simeon, saying, “I knew I was unloved, so God
I was comforted by my son in a love that was alienated to the extent that he said, “He gave me this son too.
(Gen. 29:33).
* Jacob loved Joseph more than many of his sons, and gave him colored clothes (Genesis 37:3).
I did favoritism.
* The king loved Esther more than all women, so he chose her over the other virgins.
I loved her (Esther 2:17).
* And when the king saw Esther standing in the courtyard, she loved it very much, so he took the golden scepter that he was holding in his hand.
I pushed it out to her (Esther 5:2).
People are happy to love and happy to be loved.
It is said, “It is better to eat vegetables and to love one another than to eat fat cattle and hate one another” (Proverbs 15:17).
But unrequited love hurts the more you love it, and sometimes it's cruel. And sometimes love changes and hates you even more than you loved.
So we see in Ecclesiasts, “a time to love and a time to hate” (Proverbs 3:8).
Everyone wants love.
Whether we love God or the world, people seem to be unable to endure without having something they love in their hearts. True love is eternal love, and eternity is a word that applies only to God. Eternal love is the love of God.
