Sermons for Preaching

Title: The Joy of Praying

1. Introduction

When we pray, we tend to think of prayers that cry out loudly, but if we think about it conversely, I think it is a bit difficult if there are many prayers that cry out. Because, wouldn't that be hard and painful enough to raise a cry of prayer? I think that joyful prayer is blessed with prayer. Today, I am going to meditate on the joy of prayer.

2. What is prayer?

There are various definitions of prayer. Prayer is the breath of the soul. Prayer is the inner longing of the soul. Prayer is a hot line with God. Prayer is the pipe through which God's power is supplied. Prayer is a conversation with God. Prayer is the wire leading to God as the power plant. All of these definitions each have a good meaning. In my own words, prayer is an intimate encounter with God.

The text is very fresh. It is said that the heart of those who seek God will rejoice. The expression “to seek” here is “seek” in English translation. It's about looking for something. In other words, it means <pray>. Therefore, I don't think it's unreasonable to say that the text "Let those who pray to God rejoice".

3. What is the joy of praying?

first. There is joy in receiving material blessings.

second. There is joy in receiving creative wisdom and power.

All the characters in the Bible received creative wisdom and power through prayer. Abraham, Jacob, Moses, David, and Solomon were all like that. They were given the ability to change from <Suicide> to <Let's Live>, from <Dog> to <God>, and <Evil> to <Live>. As you pray, the content and goals of your prayers will change more and more radically.

Material blessings are pleasant, but the joy of the heart is greater. If Confucius is also educated, then it is not 亦悅乎. In other words, what a joy it is to learn and learn and grow in wisdom! Said. What did Solomon ask for after offering a thousand burnt offerings? Not the blessing of wealth, but the blessing of a wise heart. If you pray, you will receive a wise heart.

third. There is joy in receiving the fullness of being.

A greater pleasure than the pleasure of material things and the pleasure of the wise mind is the fullness of existence. Therefore, the psalmist writes, “You have put more joy in my heart than when their grain and new wine abound. Psalm 4:7 The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? Psalm 27:1-2, the prophet Habakkuk said, “Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no vines on the vines, the olives produce no crops, the fields produce no food, and there are no sheep in the pen. Though there are no cattle in the stall, I will rejoice in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation. In spite of hunger, abundance, and want, I have learned the secret of all things, and I can do all things through him who strengthens me. Phil 4:12-13.

What do all these words mean? It is the full joy of being that is received in prayer. In prayer, the ontological Inner Power, Eran Vital, and Vitality abounds. David said, “With the full strength of this very being, I will run through enemies and jump over walls, and I will draw a bronze bow” (Psalm 18:29-34). We are blessed with the joy of tasting the fullness of this very existence in prayer.

4. Closing story

Please do your best to pray with one heart. Thus, I pray in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ that you may fully enjoy the pleasures of material things, the joys of the wise mind, and the full pleasures of that wonderful being.
