Title: King's Feast
Have you ever received an invitation from someone? How did you feel? The mood can make a huge difference depending on who invites you. If you are invited to a banquet by someone you don't know very well, you may feel bad. However, if someone close to you prepares and invites you with sincerity, you will be happy to attend, celebrate, and enjoy the feast you have prepared. What if the king of a country had a special feast and politely invited me? Today's text is just that.
There are many things lacking in the feasts people have prepared. However, the kingdom of God is a feast that God has completely prepared without neglecting anything. “Come, all things are ready” (verse 17). The kingdom of God has all the glory and joy that we so thirsty but do not find, seek and do not have, and hope and never enjoy. Whether you accept the invitation of this king's feast or not is an important issue that determines whether you live forever or die.
Why do so many turn down invitations to the king's banquet?
This is because the wisdom of this world cannot automatically know God (1 Corinthians 1:21, verse 1). That is why God is pleased to save those who believe through the foolishness of evangelism (1 Corinthians 1:21, verse 2).
As servants of the Lord, how should we invite people to the heavenly feast?
I. Invite one more person to be saved.
It is the Lord's will that as many people as possible participate in the feast. “He said to them, ‘Some man made a great banquet and invited many people’” (verse 16).
The Bible says, “God wants all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth” (1 Timothy 2:4). “...that is the will of him who sent me, that I should not lose any of them that he gave me, but that I should raise them up on the last day” (John 6:39).
Let's invite at least one more person to this crusade with God's heart that wants everyone to be saved without losing even one person.
II. Invite the open minded.
We should not become discouraged when we see those who have closed hearts among the evangelists, but invite those who have an open heart.
When the door of evangelism is blocked, if we tell God, God will help us meet the target of evangelism.
After receiving a report from the servant that he invited people but the people refused, the master informs the servant of other people to invite. “Go quickly into the streets and alleys of the city, and bring the poor, the handicapped, the blind and the lame” (verse 21).
The reason the owner invited them is because they are humble and open to God because of their poverty and disability.
We cannot save people. We must pay attention to those whom God opens our hearts to and share the gospel with them.
Please pay attention to the poor, the suffering, and the sick, and invite them to visit.
Ⅲ. Invite them with persistent compulsion.
We must clearly recognize how important it is to invite to heaven, and do not give up even if people hate it and reject it, but continue to persevere and forcefully invite us.
The master sends his servant to several people several times to invite him, but when he receives a report that there is still room, he orders the servant: “Go out into the streets and by the hills, and compel them to take me and fill my house” (verse 23).
To forcefully means to try with all your might, with all your might. Because of the importance of this invitation, the importance of this issue, do not back down and force yourself to participate in this feast.
Let's go out and force people to invite us, knowing how important it is to invite us to God's heavenly feast. I bless you that you will be able to fill the chapel of our church by obeying the Lord's command to compel me to fill my house.
