Title: The Kingship of Christ

Contents

As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, saying, "Go to the village opposite you. As soon as you enter there, you will find a colt tied up, which no one has ridden yet. Loosen it and bring it with you. If anyone asks you why you are doing this, say, ‘The Lord will use it.’ Then I will send you here immediately.” The disciples went and saw a colt tied in the street at the door. It was untied, and some of those standing there said, "What are you going to do with the young donkey?" Then the disciples said as Jesus had said, so they allowed it. They brought the colt to Jesus, put their cloaks on them, and Jesus got on them, and many of them with their cloaks and others spread branches cut in the field on the road. Blessed be the one who comes in the name of the Lord! The coming kingdom of our father David! Hosanna in the highest!" (Mark 11:1-10)

Today is Palm Sunday. When Jesus went up to Jerusalem for the last time before His Passion and death on the cross, Jesus entered on a donkey, and the disciples, children, and a large crowd of people received him with palm branches in their hands and singing Hosanna hymns. This is the same form taken when a king ascends to the throne in a country. Jesus has the character of a priest, a prophet, and a king, and in this case is an expression of his kingship. In today's democratic society, the king is like a relic, like a story from an old story, but the kingship of Jesus is being emphasized more and more today. Kingship refers to the sovereignty of government, and establishing sovereignty means maintaining order. And the king is a sign that the reign of that sovereignty is not an impersonal statute or institution, but a person himself. Then, today, let us consider why the kingship of Jesus is so desperately demanded.

In the early days of modern democratic society, anarchists emerged out of hatred of the dictatorship of the dictatorship. However, that anarchism did not stand up either in ideology or in practice. On the contrary, experience has proven that even the most fearsome dictator is better than anarchy. The political ideology of the Kingdom of God as spoken of in the Bible rejects anarchy. In modern times, the revolution risks anarchy if it goes wrong. Therefore, Christianity is cautiously looking at all revolutions. Because it rejects anarchy and anarchy, the kingship of Jesus must be emphasized more today. In recent years, the black riots in the United States, the world student revolution, and the chaos, looting, and war caused by anarchy in the process of demanding democracy are proof that Jesus' kingship is demanded.

Next, the kingship means the establishment of sovereignty and the maintenance of order. Today, the Constitution, which is the basis of the parliamentary representative government system based on the contract of the people, which democracy has kept as gold and silver, is gradually losing its authority. The constitution can be freely reorganized through appropriate methods and channels at the request of the incumbent at each period, and has become a necessary tool for the maintenance of power by politicians. Sovereignty has become not a constitutional book in paper and ink, but a tool for those in possession of guns, money, and power. In a sense, the president of today's democracies has come to wield and exercise more power than the wages of any tyrannical nation in the past. Especially in today's society, where the mass media has developed, once a person has gained power, unless he or she gives up power on his own, it cannot be taken away by democratic methods.

The old monarchs received education to become the current military at an early age, but the current dictatorships are mostly those who have not received anything other than training to gain power. Today's democratic society has come to look at the face of the rulers more than the old days of monarchy. Therefore, there will never be a time when Christ's kingship is hoped to be at the heart of his sovereignty as it is today. This proves that the American people and the free world place more faith in President Nixon's ardent Christian and compassionate evangelist than his political abilities in the US elections. If the person who Christ is sure to exercise sovereignty in his heart and life is not the sovereign, the democratic society will be in great danger in the future.

A king is a person at the center of his sovereignty. Socialist society places all power at the center of its structure and creates a dictatorship. A democratic society is also trying to mechanize the social structure itself so that it becomes the right to exercise political power. From now on, we will try to mechanize all social structures, whether it is a communist society or a democratic society. At that time, as in George Orwell's novel 1984, man becomes completely mass and becomes a machine. The industrialized countries are already showing this. There is no love or recognition there, only duty and responsibility, indifference and coldness, consistent with a cold and dry society.

What this society demands is that we hope for the reign of Christ, who will also be our teacher, friend, and leader with warm love and recognition. Human beings are also human beings, so we have to give and receive with heartfelt love to live, forgive when we make a mistake, and only when we have the heart to forgive even at least seventy-seven times to be alive. The world of justice, freedom, equality, and peace that mankind has been waiting for so long on this earth will only come true when Jesus takes the throne and becomes the Sovereign. We have Jesus as our King and sing the Hosanna song high.

Finally, let us find out what kind of beings have appeared to establish the truth kingdom of freedom, peace, justice and love and to give its sovereignty to Jesus. For this kingship of Jesus, that is, for this purpose, if an unknown believer wanted Jesus to use it, he released his donkey and a colt he had never ridden without any complaints under any conditions. And the helpless disciples and women spread their cloaks and paved the way As they welcomed, innocent children waved palm branches to meet them. Even today and at any other time in order to establish the kingdom of truth of God, to invite Jesus as Lord of all and King of kings is not a conspiracy scheme, a revolutionary bayonet or a chaebol's purse, but truly to die for righteousness, love, freedom and truth Our glorious mission is here because only service and devotion to pave the way, even taking off our jacket, are so desperately needed for Him who is going out, that he will sacrifice whatever he wants. At the center of this new history, true order, its success is foreseeable as it is truly welcomed by innocent children.
