A fugitive life begins
Genesis 27:42-28:9
Many Christians confess with their mouths that they live the life of the cross, but there are very few people who live with the cross. It is also true that most people live with the cross in front.
The Christian life is, in fact, 'carrying up the cross'.
According to the report of Dr. Charles Allen, who closely investigated and studied the religious ecology of the church members, it is as follows.
20% of church members do not attend Sunday services, 25% of church members don't pray, 30% don't know how to pray, 35% don't read the Bible, and 40% donate. 60% of members do not read faith-related books, 70% of members are ignoring church activities, 75% of members have no responsibility in the church,
85% of church members have never led an unbeliever, whereas
Nevertheless, it is said that 100% of the church members responded that they wanted to go to 'heaven'.
Dear saints,
Mistakes and failures are something humans do all the time. But the important thing is that when we repent and rise up, God is a loving God who gives us another chance.
Think of exercise. Even if a runner falls while running, the one who gets up again and continues the race wins the finale. So is war. Losing the first war should not be discouraged.
We learned the history of World War II. Allied forces were defeated at first. In Europe, both France and Britain were defeated in their first battle by Germany. But after that, he again occupied Europe and completely subdued Hitler. So is the Pacific War. At first, Britain and the United States were severely defeated by Japan.
All Pearl Harbor was destroyed, all Malaysia was taken, Singapore was captured, all the Philippines was captured, and MacArthur was driven out in the end. But it came back. Woke up again.
So it was the final victory. This is not just war. So is business. Business should not be discouraged if we failed. Whoever gets up again succeeds last. The same is true of our religious life. When we believe and go out, we do not want it, but without knowing it, we are easily tempted and fall into sin. However, as soon as I know that I am going to be tempted, as soon as I repent and repent, God will give me a second grace and give me a second chance to accomplish great works through such a person.
Dear saints,
We learned from Genesis 27 that even God's people make mistakes. The Bible teaches that mistakes are not failures. Mistakes are sometimes rewarded and sometimes painful. But through it, it becomes a channel of blessing. Christians grow spiritually through such things. We must not forget that if we make mistakes and commit sins, they are forgiven, but they will inevitably suffer.
Esau's mistake begins with pity for the birthright. Just as Jesus said in Matthew 7:6, do not throw pearls to Soji, even if you have a blessing, you will lose it if you do not know its value.
Even today, people who do not know the value of blessings come to church, but they cannot bear the blessings God has given them, so they transfer them to others. Esau is such a person. Esau is a person with infinite possibilities. However, he was a person who was interested in more material things, spiritual things. As a result, he experienced the tragedy of losing his birthright and losing his blessings.
Dear saints,
I hope you will discern the preciousness of spiritual things. I hope you will immediately see the value of the blessing.
Life is too worldly and only cares about material things and loses real blessings like Esau.
I hope not. There are many cases in which we live our life of faith with the belief that all we need to do is live truthfully on our own and believe hard. It is not a spiritual person;
A spiritual person is one who knows exactly what God wants; Those who please God are spiritual. The blessings of God's promise will come to such people.
But, look at Jacob. Jacob is a man who knows the value of spiritual things. That's why they took it out even with deceit. He is a person who takes away his brother's blessings by exchanging the birthright and cheating. However, because the means and methods are wrong, they will suffer very severe pain in their life.
Verse 41 is the first to be played.
He hated his brother Jacob, who came out of the same boat. Jacob is the one who always gets in the way of his life. So, the desire to kill arises.
We know the events of Cain and Abel in Genesis 4 well. God did not accept Cain's sacrifice, but only Abel's, so Cain killed Abe. The first murder case is recorded in the Bible.
No one wants to kill Jacob when his father dies. Jacob lost his birthright and thought he should have taken away his blessings, but the more important brotherhood ended up being an enmity.
