Contents
2012.6.17. Sunday Day Worship Deuteronomy 25:13-16 <The Honest Life of the Saints> Chan 423 Blacker than ink
------------------------------------------------------------ -------------------------
Deuteronomy 25:13 You shall not put in your pocket two kinds of weights, the large and the small.
Deuteronomy 25:14 You shall not have in your house two kinds of stock, one large and one small.
Deuteronomy 25:15 But you shall put complete and fair weights, and complete and just measures, that your days may be long in the land the LORD your God is giving you.
Deuteronomy 25:16 Everyone who does these things, everyone who does evil is an abomination to the LORD your God.
I've noticed that most restaurants play with their food. It seems to be a world in which fakes disguise the real thing, a world where people are deceived for money, and a world where there is no cheating. Because Chinese products are made in Korea, meat is made in foreign countries, and gold is expensive, even dentists are deceived by mixing low-content gold teeth and copper. Deception is from the Garden of Eden, and Satan the devil is the source of it. How should we believers live in this era of loss of honesty? Can you make a living by being moderately honest in your circumstances? What does God say about this?
1. Honesty is God's law.
Honesty is the law enshrined in the law. Without the law, we do not realize our serious sin.
Exodus 20:16 Do not bear false witness against your neighbor.
Leviticus 19:35 Do not do iniquity in judgment or in measuring length or weight or quantity.
Lev 19:36 Use fair scales, and fair weights, and a fair ephah, and a fair hin. I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of the land of Egypt.
Proverbs 11:1 A deceitful scale is an abomination to the LORD, but a fair weight is his pleasure.
Proverbs 12:22 False lips are an abomination to the LORD, but he who walks in truth is pleased with him.
Proverbs 20:10 Inconsistent weights and irregularities are an abomination to the LORD.
Proverbs 20:23 A weight that is not consistent is an abomination to the LORD, and a deceitful balance is not good.
God's laws established by choosing Israel, the chosen people, are justice and honesty. However, what kind of crisis did the Old Testament people who disobeyed this law face?
Ezekiel 45:10 You shall use fair scales, and a fair ephah, and a fair bath.
Hos 4:1 Hear the word of the LORD, O children of Israel; the LORD contends with the inhabitants of the land; there is no truth, no mercy, no knowledge of God in this land.
Hosea 4:2 But curses, deceit, murder, theft, and adultery: blood is followed by blood, in violence.
Hos 12:7 He is a merchant, and with false scales in his hand he loves to deceive.
Amos 8:5 When ye say, When the new moon is over, when shall we sell grain, and when the sabbath is over shall we bring forth wheat?
Mic 6:10 Is there still unrighteous riches in the house of the wicked? Is there an abominable ephah that has been reduced?
Mic 6:11 If I have used unclean scales or have false weights in my pocket, will I be clean?
Na 3:1 Woe to you, city of blood, which is full of lies, full of violence, and devastation does not depart (Assyria)
Weights and measures are the foundational promises of fair and honest business dealings in this society. When this promise is broken, neighbors, societies and nations alike are shaken by distrust. Total falsehood is a consistent violation of God's law across time and age. In every age and age, prophets point out this sin and call for repentance. But they deceive their neighbors for the gain of wealth rather than the law of God. Taking unfair advantage of false scales in commerce You lose your honest heart.
In addition, a trend of distrust prevails in society. People's feelings are ugly. The purpose of the people who have departed from God is how to become richer even if they are unfairly done. As a result, the whole country is thrown into chaos. God destroys such a nation through a foreign country. It is similar to our present reality. We pray that you will have eyes to face today's reality through the history of the Bible.
2. Those who are pure in heart stand before God.
Matthew 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart, for they will see God.
Mark 10:19 You know the commandments: Do not murder, do not commit adultery, do not steal, do not bear false witness, do not defraud, honor your father and mother.
Jesus said that blessed are the upright and the pure in heart. They say they will see God. To not take away by deceit refers to honest business.
1 Thessalonians 5:22 Forsake any form of evil
Proverbs 21:3 To do justice and justice is more pleasing to the LORD than sacrifices.
Proverbs 21:6 Gathering wealth by deceitful words seeks death, a mist that is carried away.
Gal 6:7 Do not deceive yourself, for God is not despised; whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.
Believers in Jesus must live an honest life. Then the Lord is pleased.
If you are not honest, if you lie, what will happen if you do not live a born-again life? You will go to hell.
Revelation 21:8 But the fearful and the unbeliever and the abominable and murderers and fornicators and sorcerers and idolaters and all liars shall be thrown into the lake of fire and brimstone, which is the second death.
Therefore, we must bear fruit worthy of repentance. I bless you to participate in the holy blessing.
3. Honesty applies both in word and in life, in profession and in commerce.
When the heart is greedy, it lies. Lies lead a life of lies. Furthermore, they engage in false commerce. What kind of life should we live in the end times?
Philippians 4:8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are godly, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are praiseworthy, if there be any virtue, if there is any praise, think of these things.
Philippians 4:9 Do what you have learned from me, received, heard and seen, and the God of peace will be with you.
He also commands the members to be honest in their work life.
Col 3:22 Slaves, obey your masters of the flesh in all things, not blindfolded, as pleasers, but in a sincere heart, in the fear of the Lord.
Have them indicate the production area for today's food. But it is also deceiving. Made in China is turned into a domestic product. In the past, to add weight to the blue crab, heavy lead was put into the country. Cosmetics are also fake. They are sold at a price ten times higher than the regular price. Fake bags, fake things hit the plate. The national military supplier cheats and exchanges parts with fakes. What would happen if we exchanged such a thing for a national precision industry or an airplane or a missile? They sell all state secrets and information to the North for money. GPS passed that way too.
Rep. Lee Seok-gi created an advertising company to feed the pro-North Korean leftists. Prosecutors revealed that the money was made by double inflating the campaign car. It was made to do the work of the leftist pro-North Koreas with state taxes.
There are no opposition parties and no exceptions in political circles and corporations when it comes to collusion with politics and bribery. Relatives of the president and former high-ranking officials in the Blue House went to jail for corruption in the savings bank. There are many dishonest government officials. In addition, there are many industrial spies who are blinded by money and hand over information and technology achieved with huge development costs to China.
Some entrepreneurs make huge foreign exchange gains through exports and smuggling. The same is true of those who evade taxes and luxuriate in luxury. Foreign tourists are overcharged, and when Koreans emigrate abroad, the prostitution industry is revitalized, causing international disgrace. At the center of it all, the golden almightyism of making money by any means and methods became the god Baal.
Most of the companies reuse leftover side dishes, but there was an honest good restaurant among them. This is Lee Doo-young, president of Kyunghee Restaurant in Boeun, Chungcheongbuk-do. The side dishes are also collected from the mountains, and those that are not are purchased directly from trusted people. Empty lunch boxes are also prepared in each room so that customers can pack up leftover side dishes. It makes me want to go there and eat. Everyone lives a life of lies, and there are honest people among those who live for profit. God sees everything.
In particular, we believers should practice honest words, honest thoughts, honest living, and honest business dealings. Even if the majority pursue evil, even if the majority pursue it for the purpose of unjust profit, only us holy saints must live distinctly and honestly. That is the will of God.
<Conclusion>
It is to deceive the eyes of those who become unfair weights or unfair. Fake labels are rife, and illegal food causes disease and even death. We are people who always live before God with an honest heart.
Psalm 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God, and renew in me an upright spirit.
Psalm 51:11 Cast me not from your presence, and take not your Holy Spirit from me.
I pray for an honest spirit, and I pray that you will always be filled with the spirit of the Holy Spirit.(*)
