Title: The Light of God
Content Title: The Light of God
Bible: Revelation 21:22-27
Beloved, for what purpose are you believing in Jesus today? Is it to become a person that God uses dearly? Or is it for some purpose in this world we want to be fulfilled? The purpose of life is to live in the eternal kingdom of heaven with true hope. If we want to become people whom God uses dearly, I hope that we do not have a purpose in life in this world, but hope in heaven to live according to God's will.
First: Let's live as people worthy of the eternal kingdom.
“He took me in the Holy Spirit and went up to a great and high mountain, and showed me the holy city, Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God” (21:10). The apostle John was led up by an angel to the mountain. Then he saw the holy Jerusalem coming down from heaven. No sun or moon was needed in that holy Jerusalem. Because the glory of God and of the Lamb was shining brightly on the city. From now on, the light of that glory will shine on all the nations of the world, the Apostle John says. By the way, only those whose names are written in the Lamb's book of life can enter that holy kingdom.
Second: Let's live by making glory.
“People will come into it with the glory and the honor of all nations” (verse 26). If we live a life of light in this world, we will be able to enjoy the peace and joy of heaven that God gives us while we live in this world. There is. However, “the glory and honor of all nations” refers to all the things the saints did for the Lamb, that is, Jesus while they lived on this earth. (Rev 14:13) “And I heard a voice from heaven saying, Write, Blessed are those who die in the Lord from this time onwards.” And the Holy Spirit said, “Yes, they will put an end to their labor and rest, according to their works. and more.” “The works they have done will follow” means the reward for all deeds. We hope that we, who are called before God, accumulate many glory while we live in this world.
Third: Let's become those who live while walking with God.
“The city has no need for the sun or the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God may shine on it, and the Lamb as its lamp” (verse 23). Qualitatively, it is completely different. The peace and joy that the world enjoys is only temporary. But the joy and peace we enjoy seldom disappear. No matter how difficult or difficult it is, there can never be sorrow because the light and glory of the Lord are in our hearts. Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid” (John 14:27). . Therefore, we hope that we will leave all our worries and concerns to the Lord and live with joy and joy and strength.
