Title [2011] The Living God

(Acts 14:8-18)
First, you must have Power. There is no reason to worship a God who has no power to help. It is foolish to follow and serve a god who has no powers for comfort. We must serve a god with supreme power. Who is the mighty god? In Exodus 7-12, we see the power of Yahweh God, who overthrew Pharaoh of the Egyptian Empire, one of the world's greatest powers at the time, with ten plagues for the Israelites' exodus from Egypt, and buried his horsemen in the Red Sea. Moses sings this in chapter 15: “The Lord is my strength and my song, and my salvation. The LORD is a mighty man; the LORD is his name. He threw Pharaoh's chariot and his army into the Red Sea, and they sank like a stone into the sea."
Second, there must be forgiving goodness. Even if a great god has great power, he is not good, so if he only punishes and tramples him, it will be a disaster and a curse, not a blessing to life. How many times will Jesus forgive sins? Seven times? He told his disciples to do it 7 times, 70 times each. On the other hand, in Luke 34:34, regarding those who only crucified themselves, Jesus said, “Father, forgive their sin, for they do not know what they are doing.” it's god
Third, it must never change. Novelty is constant, and even if it is harmful to you, you must keep your promises. When he asked Abraham to sacrifice Isaac, he said, “Amen, it is done. Because you trust me more than your son, I will also bless all people.” Then he sent his son to even die on a cross, promising salvation and blessings. You keep your promises. There is only one God who satisfies all these conditions, Yahweh.
Apostle Paul lectures in today's text that we should serve only the Almighty, Good, and Eternal God. Dear saints, I pray in the name of Jesus that you long for and worship Yahweh God, who is not an empty God who is manipulated and controlled by people, but a novelty that gives us life and leads to eternal life.
