Psalm 127
1. Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain; unless the LORD guards the city, the watchman keeps watch in vain.
2. It is in vain that you rise up early, lie down late, and eat the bread of toil; therefore the LORD gives sleep to the one he loves.
3. Children are an inheritance from the LORD, and the fruit of the womb is his reward.
4. The children of a young man are like arrows in the hand of a merchant.
5. Blessed are they that are full of their traditions; they will not be put to shame when they speak with their enemies at the gates.
Matthew 18
1. At that time the disciples came to Jesus and said, Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?
2. Jesus called a little child and put him among them
3. He said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.
4. Therefore whoever humbles himself like this little child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.
5. And whoever welcomes one such little child in my name welcomes me.
6. If anyone causes one of these little ones who believe in me to stumble, it would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the deep sea.
7. Woe to the world because there are things that cause you to stumble.
8. If your hand or your foot causes you to sin, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to enter eternal life crippled or lame than to have two hands and two feet and be thrown into the eternal fire.
9. If your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and throw it away. It is better for you to enter eternal life with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into the fires of hell.
10. Be careful not to despise any of these little ones, I tell you, their angels from heaven always see the face of my Father who is in heaven.

Subject: Jehovah's Inheritance and Reward
Text: Psalm 127:1-5, Matthew 18:1-10,
‘I have many flowers. But children are the most beautiful flowers’ (Oscar Wilde). I can also think of the expression ‘the flower of flowers is the human flower’, which I heard from adults. There is a saying that in order for a family to prosper, three sounds must be heard. These are 1) the laughter of young children, 2) the sound of working, and 3) the sound of reading a book. The low fertility problem, which happened by chance, has become a national problem, not just a family problem. Today's Old Testament text (Psalm 127:1-5) is a poem by Solomon, the king of wisdom. The poet, who expressed human efforts for a happy life as ‘building a house’ and ‘keeping the city’, said that Jehovah’s actions are essential (verse 1). Human effort, not in vain, takes precedence over the works of God. The realization of a happy family also requires prioritizing God's will and participating in that work (verse 2).
“Children are an inheritance from the Lord. The fruit of the womb is her reward” (Psalm 127:3). This is the source of the title of the sermon, ‘The Lord’s Inheritance and Rewards’. ‘Children’ means ‘children’ who can inherit an inheritance, and ‘inheritance’ means ‘gift’. In other words, the poet says that children are God's gift to continue the family, just as God gave the promised land of Canaan to the chosen people of Israel as an inheritance to inherit from generation to generation. In the end, it is saying that the source that can sustain a family is in God, and the source that can continue God's chosen people's community is also in God. The role of parents in caring for such children is thoroughly good stewardship. It is doing according to the will of the one who has entrusted it to you. ‘The fruit of the womb is his reward’ is a repetition of the first half. It is necessary to strictly follow the will of the one who gave it.
'If I ever have a child again' (Diana Lumans, Jack Canfield) is an article. 'If I ever have a child again, I will build the child's self-esteem first, then the house... (omitted) )...more often see the oak in the acorn. Be less assertive and more affirmative. You will not be seen as a person who loves power, but as a person who has the power of love.’ The text of the New Testament (Matthew 18:1-10) is the lesson Jesus gave. It is an adult education content through children. It is the content of teaching the disciples who are not interested in the prophecy (Mt 16:21-28; Mt 17:9;) and still wonder, ‘Who is the greatest in heaven? He commanded us to learn the humility and simplicity of a child (Matthew 18:2-4). It was strictly forbidden to stumble against children (Matthew 18:5-10). It is the result of loss of humility. These are the results of the loss of innocence.
Being a good parent is a goal in your child's life. Being a parent worthy of imitation is also the greatest success. You must continue to train as a parent by obeying God's holy will. It is the job of parents to bless the inheritance and reward that Jehovah has given them. This is an article from ‘If I ever have a child again’. ‘… Rather than trying to change their habits, I will focus on being an example to them. Rather than wasting time on changing their habits and behavior, I would spend my time broadening my mind. Rather than focus on rebuking and scolding them, I will tell them more Bible stories...Wake them up in the morning with a song of praise...and pray more. With prayer I will wash away my mistakes, and I will cover their wounds... Through prayer I will open up their world to light.'
