the Lord's teaching
Dear brothers and sisters, I want to receive grace through the teachings of the Lord today.
Jesus waited 30 years to prepare for his 3 year public ministry.
But why are you in the ministry of Jesus' public life? Did it take 3 years?
Is it to heal many sick people through many miracles and miracles?
no. There is something more important than this. Think about it. If the Lord wanted it, it was the fact that the three-year history could be accomplished in one day if he set his heart.
This problem can be explained for two reasons.
The first reason is that these three years were necessary for the education of the disciples.
It was not that they knew from the beginning that Jesus was the Christ.
As the disciples followed the Lord, they saw what the Lord was doing, heard what He said, and began to learn.
It wasn't until three years ago that I realized that the Lord was the Christ.
The second reason is that the temporal space of 2000 years and the locational space of the other side of the earth are sharpened, so that today we
The purpose of what the Lord did is to help us understand that Jesus is the Christ through the Bible.
Today, the Lord is having the last Passover meal with his disciples. Now, in a few hours, you will have to go to the Way of the Cross.
As the Lord, He wanted to give His disciples the last and most important teaching.
The lesson of this teaching is the lesson for me and you today.
1. The Lord washed the disciples' feet.
At that time, it was customary to wash the feet of the servants of the house when the owner or guests returned from the outside.
The disciples confessed that Jesus was Lord.
But the Lord Jesus actually washed the disciples' feet.
Dear saints, The Lord humbled himself and washed the feet of his disciples.
Serving can come from a humble heart that humbles oneself.
You should learn to respect the opinions of others rather than sticking to your own opinions.
You can't serve others by putting yourself out there.
We are to serve our neighbors with the love of Christ, according to the teachings of the Lord.
At this time, we want to think about the Lord's heart at that time.
As the Lord washed the disciples' feet, He wanted them to understand His will.
The hand that used to wash the disciples' feet is now nailed to the red hand on the spot
The new red blood of the Lord will flow down.
The Lord would want to be the first to wash those disciples with His blood.
Truly, he is washing his disciples with his heart like red blood.
Here we should be able to look to the cross of the Lord.
He who is in glory came down to this low earth to serve us, sinners who have no choice but to die for our sins. To wash away all the sins that a sinner who is in sin cannot erase.
He died on the cross. The Lord served us, even to the point of death.
The Lord has been the example of serving us first.
2. The Lord loved His disciples to the end.
The pain of being betrayed by the love you love is truly unbearable pain.
Jesus washed the feet of Judas, who would betray Him and betray Him, and the feet of His disciples who were fleeing from Him.
He knew that in just a few hours, they were disciples who would forsake the Lord and run away.
Jesus loved you to the end. This is perfect love.
The Lord gave love to Peter, who had denied Jesus three times.
The Lord has come to us who have no choice but to die in our sins and trespasses.
Before I sought the Lord, He loved us first, found us, and forgave our sins.
It is not difficult to love the one I love and the one who loves me.
But it's hard to love someone who hates me, someone I hate, and someone who ignores me.
Dear saints! Today the beloved Lord speaks to us.
Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you.
Serving is love. You cannot serve without love. The power of love is great.
You can do anything for the one you love.
To love to the end, this is perfect love
This is all about love and service that Jesus taught on this earth.
3. He tells us to do this.
John 13:14 I have washed your feet, both as Lord and as Teacher, so you also
It is right to wash
The Lord has shown us an example of service.
The Lord did not come to this earth to be served, but rather to use His own body as our ransom.
He served us even to death.
Dear saints, The Lord has taught us to serve our brothers.
Here's another surprising fact. There is a reward from the Lord for those who obey His word.
Do you want to be big? Do you want to be a great person?
Do you want to receive great blessings from God? then serve
In other words, He promised to bless those who serve. This is the promise of the living God.
God loves those who love his neighbor, who serves his brother,
Please believe that you want to bless him.
This is how we abide in the love of God when we love our neighbor,
Believe that you can share in the joy of God.
closing words
Dear saints,
That night the disciples did not immediately understand the will of the Lord when Jesus washed their feet.
They could fully understand the teachings of the Lord only after Jesus ascended into heaven.
Love for the one you love even when you give yourself up, that was perfect love.
[John 15:12] This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.
[John 15:13] Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
[John 15:14] You are my friends if you do what I command you.
Except for Judas Iscariot of the 12 disciples whom Jesus had washed that night,
All of them put the teachings of Jesus into practice in their lives.
And while they preached the gospel of the Lord to the end, they were all martyred in the end.
Dear saints, Today the Lord tells us:
[John 14:21] He who has my commandments and keeps them is the one who loves me, and he who loves me
I will be loved by my Father, and I will love him and reveal myself to him.
Dear saints, Jesus teaches us today about service
you have given Serving is love. Serving is the practice of love.
We are now following the Lord's teaching, following the Lord's word
Let's live a life of service as disciples of Jesus who received the Lord's call.
[John 13:1] Before the Passover, Jesus knew that the hour had come when he would leave this world and return to the Father.
He loved his people in the world, but he loved them to the end.
[John 13:2] The devil had already put in the heart of Judas Iscariot, Simon's son, to sell Jesus.
[John 13:3] At supper, Jesus said that the Father had put all things into his hands, and that he
Knowing that He came from God and will return to Him
[John 13:4] He got up from his supper, took off his outer garment, took a towel, and put it around his waist.
[John 13:5] Then he poured water into a basin and washed the disciples' feet, and began to wash with the towel that he was draped with.
[John 13:6] And he said to Simon Peter, "Lord, do you wash my feet?
[John 13:7] Jesus answered and said to them, Do you no longer understand what I am doing?
after this you will know
[John 13:8] Peter said to him, "You will never wash my feet." Jesus answered, "I
If I don't wash you, you have nothing to do with me.
[John 13:9] Simon Peter said to him, Lord, wash not only my feet, but also my hands and my head.
[John 13:10] Jesus said to them, "He who has already bathed has no need to wash except his feet.
You are clean, you are clean, but not all.
[John 13:11] For he knows who will betray him; therefore, not all are clean.
[John 13:12] After washing their feet, he put on clothes and sat down again and told them
"Do you know what I have done to you?
[John 13:13] You are right when you say that I am a teacher or a lord, and so am I.
[John 13:14] Since I have washed your feet, as Lord and Teacher, it is right that you also wash one another's feet.
[John 13:15] I set an example that you should do as I have done to you.
[John 13:16] Truly, truly, I say to you, a servant is greater than his master
and the one who is sent is not greater than the one who sent it.
[John 13:17] Blessed are you if you know these things and do them.
[Jn 13:1] It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world
and go to the Father.
Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love.
[Jn 13:2] The evening meal was being served, and the devil had already prompted Judas Iscariot, son of Simon, to betray Jesus.
[Jn 13:3] Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power,
and that he had come from God and was returning to God
[Jn 13:4] so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist.
[Jn 13:5] After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet,
drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.
[Jn 13:6] He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, "Lord, are you going to wash my feet?"
[Jn 13:7] Jesus replied, "You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand."
[Jn 13:8] "No," said Peter, "you shall never wash my feet." Jesus answered,
"Unless I wash you, you have no part with me."
[Jn 13:9] "Then, Lord," Simon Peter replied, "not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!"
[Jn 13:10] Jesus answered, "A person who has had a bath needs only wash his feet his whole body is clean.
And you are clean, although not every one of you."
[Jn 13:11] For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean.
[Jn 13:12] When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place.
"Do you understand what I have done for you?" he asked them.
[Jn 13:13] "You call me 'Teacher' and 'Lord,' and rightly so, for that is what I am.
[Jn 13:14] Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet,
you also should wash one another's feet.
[Jn 13:15] I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.
[Jn 13:16] I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master,
nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.
[Jn 13:17] Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.
