Title (Ⅱ) The Lord’s Office (John 15:1~11)
Contents
① The text reveals the division of the roles of the Triune God, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, in carrying out and completing the work of the true man, which is the work of saving the elect, and ② the method of ministry of church officials who are used as workers.
“The office the Lord has given you is to be a worker in God’s enterprise”
① In the past, present, and future, God the Holy Trinity only does the work of making perfect and true people like you. ② God the Father is a farmer who makes a vineyard called the physical world and plants, reproduces, nurtures, and harvests Jesus, the first seed of the true man, the true vine. ③ Jesus, who is God the Son and the first seed of the New Testament Church as the true vine, did not come to the human rights movement, security movement, economic movement, or democratization movement... He came to do true people's breeding and training campaigns and people's work. ④ The work of propagating, nurturing, and harvesting true people who will live together with God forever and ever in a kingdom where heaven and earth are unified in the future is the work of the Holy Trinity. ⑤ The office of the church is to be used as a worker in this business of God.
“The ministry the Lord has given is the main job of the saints”
① Since God the Father’s main occupation is to grow vines, the same is true of his workers, church officials. ② The main business of a fisherman is to give birth to, reproduce, and raise true people, and to catch people who live for the purpose of earning the personal income of true people. ③ Therefore, neither Matthew the tax collector, Luke the doctor, nor Peter the fisherman... From the moment they were called by the Lord, their main occupation changed to being a fisher of people. ④ Therefore, the main occupation of our members was unified from the moment they became disciples of the Lord to that of a fisherman. ⑤ For the saints, the job of the world becomes a side job to do well in their main job. ⑥ In order to receive the nourishment of God, the farmer, one must do well in the farming business of growing vines.
“You have to take the position the Lord has given you and take it on your own.”
① The God who plays a major role in the work of the true man of the Triune God is the Son Jesus. ② In order to do this work independently, the Word became flesh and came into the world to accomplish this work. ③ Therefore, church officials who are members, disciples, and workers of the Lord must also live this work as their own independent work. ④ Church office is the center of one's life. ⑤ All the work of the saints should be done in order to use them for good job change. ⑥ Therefore, those who live by doing other things as their main business will be rejected by the Lord.
“The ministry the Lord has given us must be carried out in cooperation.”
“The office the Lord has given you should always be completed.”
① God the Holy Spirit works to complete the salvation that the Father and the Son have completed by directly clothing them with the chosen ones. ② Therefore, the officers who became his servants must also become workers who reap the beauty of seedlings. ③ It must be dealt with with unwavering loyalty. ④ Until we see the end that the Lord has given us, we must endure without being driven by any kind of pain, persecution, contempt, or disrespect. ⑤ It is the wisest thing to finish well. ⑥ The Orphan robber who finished well was saved at the moment of death.
