Text Matthew 26:69-75
Today is the fifth week of Lent. We are learning about the Lord Jesus each week and learning how to become more like Jesus. In the first week, we must be humble like Jesus, who was inaugurated on a donkey, even though he is the highest person in the world. In the second week, like Jesus who cleaned the temple, we should purify our hearts and offer worship that pleases God. In the third week, just as Jesus shared his life with bread and loaves, we also said that we should share our lives with those we can help. So I shared this bread of love. Last week, the 4th owner, I told him to become a child who obeys God's will, even if we do not want to do it, like Jesus who prayed on the Mount of Olives to follow God's will to save us more than the terrible pain that Jesus Himself must endure. .
Do you know where Peter is today? (Verse 69) Inside and outside the courtyard. Does anyone know where the garden is? Read verse 57. After praying on the mountain, Jesus was arrested and taken to the high priest's house for trial. But, what's going on? Read verses 66, 67, and 68. People are clamoring for Jesus to be put to death. Then they hit Jesus with their fists, spit on him, and slap him on the cheek with their palms. If you get caught in this situation, you're sure to get beaten up in the same way and you don't know if you'll die together.
Have our friends ever felt ashamed of believing in Jesus? When your friends insult you at church, when you ask if a church-going child can do that, have you ever said that you don't believe in Jesus? If that was the case, we would have hurt Jesus' heart just like Peter. However, just as Jesus forgave Peter who wept and asked for forgiveness, please forgive our friends when they sincerely repent. We repent too. Forgive friends. Holy Week prayer. Help North Korea
