Title: The Lord Who Becomes Strong in Weakness
Contents
Zechariah (5) The Lord who is strong when we are weak (Zechariah 1:18-21)
< Zechariah's second vision >
On November 24, in the 2nd year of King Darius, Zechariah sees eight visions at the same time. The second vision, “the vision of the four horns and the four factories,” appears in the text. Then, in a vision, I saw four horns, and when I asked what the vision was, the angel answered, “The horns that scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.” Then, after seeing a vision of the four factories, Zechariah asked, “What have they come to do?” The angel answered, “These factories have come to terrorize your horns.”
In the Bible, ‘horns’ symbolize power and power. After all, the four horns symbolize the enemy nations with great authority on all four sides of the earth. When I think of the Israelites surrounded by such four great powers, Korea comes to mind. The four major powers in the world today are the United States, Japan, Russia and China. Because our country is surrounded by those four countries, Jews and our people are the countries that have a lot in common historical and geographical in the world.
Don't be discouraged or afraid even if you have great powers around you. The hand that moves God's work is not unfolding centered on the powerful powers of all four directions, but centered on God's people. Also, see how God sends a factory to terrify and strike your horns. Factory refers to 'artists such as woodworkers and ironworkers'. Therefore, the factory symbolizes God's judgment tool that judges powerful nations. Through that factory, God fears and shames the great powers, and ultimately exalts the chosen people.
< God in control of all situations >
What is the message of ‘four horns and the vision of your factories’ to the saints living in the present age? “God is in control of everything.” Don't be afraid even if your enemies are scary. It is not that God cannot destroy the beings, but that they are left alone for a short time for training. God sometimes punishes the saints by taking up the evil enemy, but in the end, he defeats all the enemies and judges the wicked and the enemies according to their deeds.
Sometimes salvation, blessings, and problem solving are slow, but there is a history of salvation, blessing, and problem solving in the most appropriate way at the most appropriate time. Therefore, with hope for the future, overcome the suffering of your enemies for a while, and use that suffering as a process of maturing yourself. Believe that God is holding on to all situations like that, look only at God, and take bold steps of faith.
The first spouse of the fortress is called Don Quixote. You have to have money, you have to be tall, you have to be good, and you have to be tech savvy. Don't fall for Satan's whispers to find Don Quixote. Faith seems to have no power in front of people with money or power, but even now, God is still silently looking at all situations in heaven and laughing at the proud people of proud people.
There is only one God to fear. If you truly fear God, the fear of life disappears. Livingston's tombstone reads, "He feared God and did not fear men." When we fear God, all other fears disappear, and when we bow down and worship God, all other problems fall before us. Therefore, what is strong in man is weak, but what is weak in God is strong. God is a God who gives strength when we are weak. In the end, the biggest problem is not that there is any big problem, but that we do not believe in God who controls all situations.
True faith gives you great confidence. In Romans 8:31 and below, the following four questions arise. “Who will be against us (verse 31), who will bring charges against us (verse 33), who will condemn us (verse 34), and who will separate us from the love of Christ (verse 35).” Go out boldly with the confession of faith that contains these four questions. How often do you hear stuttering from the mouth of the same person who uttered the cheering cries? Don't rely on people. There is only one person you can rely on, God who does not gossip.
