Title: The Lord Who Made a Woman (如常)
Contents Hymn 172 “Like dry grass in an empty field” 486 “Lord Jesus, have mercy on me”
When you are lonely and lonely, saints who always yearn to hear the small voice of the Lord! The poet prayed to God during his family's troubled days and the most distressing circumstances. The cry had reached the heavens and was filled with a desire to be answered as soon as possible. The poet wrote poetry waiting for the answer of the Lord, even if there were conditions for physical health, economic difficulties, and discouragement in the environment. Psalm 102 records the story of a afflicted man confessing his circumstances and singing a song of groaning to the Lord God, who is still in love.
First, the poet's condition was introduced (Psalm 102:1-11).
The poet's situation was full of difficulties such as acting and depression of the heart, which was painful even to eat. He expressed the appearance of a bare and skinny poet, and compared the lonely dandelion in the lonely wilderness to his own image. In a desolate place, withers is like a flower, withered emotions are like an owl, and he is like a sparrow on a roof that has lost its place to sleep. Not only that, but it was like the slanting shadow of a sick figure and scattered beliefs, like the withering of grass, so it expressed the plight of the situation.
Second, the poet trusted the Lord with his faith and prayed earnestly with conviction (Psalm 102:12-28).
In other words, the Lord God had mercy on him and Zion, and when the appointed time came, he hoped that the Lord would build up the ruined Zion and appear in glory. Hearing the groanings of the prisoners, they wished to release the prisoners who had been sentenced to death and to give their honor to God. Although now their strength is weakening and seems to shorten the day of their death, they believed that they would not die midway because Jehovah God was their protector. The gentle Lord God has created the heavens and the earth since ancient times and has ruled over human beings. The poet wished God to change circumstances such as clothing. Dear saint! Now is the time to wait for God's mercy. It is a time when God hears our cries. It is a time to mourn over the God who has been healed with a weakened faith. What the poet truly desires is that he wished that the infinite kingdom of the Lord and the mercy of the Lord would remain on this earth rather than the difficulties of the environment. That desire is the restoration of Zion, the restoration of faith, and the restoration of hope. Therefore, let's put off the clothes that symbolize our faults and change into clothes that symbolize our hope. -Amen-
Our Lord Jesus Christ! I want to work with a conscience of complete freedom (James 1:25), and to continue the work of wise faith (Matt. 7:24).
