Title: The Lord Who Made the Impossible

Contents

▒▒ Main text: Acts 13:21-23

Among the 41 kings, the most successful and successful king is King David. However, looking at David's inner story, David's family was not smooth. He seems holy but he is a sinner, he seems strong but he is weak, he seems successful but he has failures in him.

The important thing is that seeing these things, David feels a closeness to us because he is similar to us. But the problem is that God who makes the impossible possible has chosen David. It is the fact that God, who has no impossibility, chose David and blessed him when he said, “He was a man after my own heart.”

Here is our hope. We who seem holy but sinners, we who seem strong but weak, who boast about others but are reflecting on our failures and pains inwardly. I hope you will remember us today through David.

The theme of Psalm 23 is trust. David trusted God absolutely. God saw the heart of David. What on earth was the center of David, and why did God choose him? At the heart of David was his trust in God. The difference between David and King Saul is that David trusted God thoroughly and accepted God's things, but Saul did not trust God.

Dear saints, what is the way for us to receive grace and to become people after God's heart? It is our full trust in God. This is the secret to being in harmony with the heart of God.

In Matthew 17, when Jesus came down from the Mount of Transfiguration, there were nine disciples, but they could not heal the demon-possessed man. The disciples did not yet have faith enough to rebuke Jesus. Even Peter denied knowing Jesus three times in front of the maid. However, when the Holy Spirit promised in Acts 2 came upon the apostles, the amazing work of the Holy Spirit took place.

Peter and John were going up to the temple gate, and a work of raising the lame man from birth occurred, saying, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I have I give you; in the name of Jesus of Nazareth, rise and walk." This is because the power of the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples. We can know that the power of the Holy Spirit comes upon those who trust in God and fully accept God's things.

I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will become the owner of faith that trusts in God. Therefore, I pray in the name of the Lord that the Holy Spirit will work at this hour today as well, and that the precious work of filling our heads with the oil of the Holy Spirit will be in the worship service at this time.

Dear brothers and sisters, I hope that you will trust God and have an open heart to God. In the name of the Lord, I ask you to realize once again that this time of worship is a blessed time, a time of grace, and a time of gratitude.

In Psalm 128, one of God's blessings is, "You shall see the blessing of Jerusalem." That is, “Blessed be your worship in the temple in Jerusalem.” One of the great blessings the people of Israel received is the blessing of going to the temple to worship. This blessing is such a precious blessing. I hope you will realize that this blessing is precious at this time.

There are things we do not know even if we know the Bible. David received the Holy Spirit, was anointed with oil, and the power of God came upon him. But David did not sin before receiving the Holy Spirit, but after receiving the Holy Spirit. That sin was touching Bathsheba and killing Uriah. But David confesses to Nathan's rebuke that he is a sinner. Realize your sin and repent thoroughly with tears.

David realized that the Holy Spirit could not leave me. You can see the precious heart of trusting God to the end and accepting God's will until the end. This is still important today. May we all live without sin. However, as a weak human being, when you sin sometimes, when God points out your sins in any way, you must remember that you know your sins, repent, and the most important thing for me is to restore your relationship with God.

Absalom betrayed David. If it were an ugly father, would he have run away after being chased by his son? Even in the midst of this, David trusted God, and he spreads his arms wide to accept God's character in his own earthenware vessel. God loved David and said, “I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my own heart.” You can see that he provided and blessed David so that Jesus would be born as a noble man who blessed David and fulfills God's will and who will save all mankind in David's descendants.

God's work that makes the impossible possible is with those who trust in God and who open their hearts and accept God's character without any resistance or rebellion. I pray in the name of the Lord that these blessings may be with the saints.
