A faithful worker (Revelation 2:10)
Our God is omnipotent and omniscient, but when He accomplishes His will and plan, He calls people and gives them offices to accomplish His will. When we are faithful to our duties, He gives us various blessings and makes us prosper. Know that the reason God calls us and gives us positions is a vessel to bless us, and I hope you will bear it with thanksgiving. God wants us to be faithful for His body, the church. When God gives you an office, there are many types of accepting it.
①Those who reject unconditionally saying ‘I can’t do this’ ②Those who take their office lightly ③Those who are loyal only with their mouth ④Those who think of church office as a sense of courage ⑤Those who accept God-given office as a mission
We are blessed when we confess, “I can do all things through him who gives me strength” (Philippians 4:13) and are faithful in our duties with a grateful heart.
I. I will be entrusted with more (Luke 19:17)
The two lessons of the parable of mina in Luke's Gospel are as follows.
① The rewards obtained in the kingdom of God are greater than the efforts of the saints.
Comparing ten minas with ten towns, this fact becomes clearer. Also, what this servant did was to do business as a ‘servant’ under the instructions of the master, but the reward according to his loyalty is the status of a dignified ‘powerful person’ who ‘rules’ ten towns. In the same way, the saints who have done all their hard work and loyalty on this earth will have the great authority to reign with Jesus forever in heaven (Rev 22:5).
