Title: The Ministry of Jesus
Contents
The text contains the content of Jesus' full-scale ministry.
We will divide the work within the synagogue and the work outside the synagogue to spread the word.
First, it is the ministry in the synagogue.
Verse 21: “They went into Capernaum, and immediately Jesus went into the synagogue on the sabbath and taught.”
Ex) The role of the synagogue and its background
Jesus' ministry in the synagogue was a teaching ministry, that is, a ministry of preaching the word.
Its teaching is different from that of ordinary scribes, and people are surprised.
As John 1:1 says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”
When the Word is proclaimed, the existence of demons is revealed.
Where is this ghost now?
That's the synagogue.
Now, it is a church.
Through the parable of Jesus, we know that to our eyes, they all look like wheat and sheep, but in reality they are not.
Jesus casts out demons with the word.
Verse 25: “Jesus rebuked him, saying, ‘Be still and come out of the man.
C.S Lewis said, “Modern people have two misunderstandings. The first is to be overly afraid of ghosts, and the other is to deny their existence.”

What are the characteristics of expelling demons?
that screams.
In verses 23 and 26 of the text, it is written, “shouting”, which makes the atmosphere that should be focused on Jesus focus on the evil devil, and paradoxically shows the appearance of confusion and obstruction, and furthermore, the power of Jesus who has spiritual kingship. You can.

The second is ministry outside the synagogue.
Verse 29: “And he came out of the synagogue and immediately entered the house of Simon and Andrew, with James and John.”
The appearance of Jesus' ministry is consistent.
It shows the consistency of putting the power of the Word into practice in and out of the church and in real life.
We too must live as a changed Christian in the church, family, workplace, workplace and life.
The background place in verse 29 and below is Peter's house.
Let's take a look at what's going on in this.
1. When Jesus comes to the house, the problem will be solved. (Section 29, second half)
Life is about living with problems.
There is no problem-free life.
Don't try to avoid problems!
Example) The story of Dr. Norman Vincent
In John 2, there is a story of a wedding feast, and on that important day, the wine runs out, and we are faced with a crisis that can ruin the atmosphere.
The only person not afraid in that scene is Maria.
Why?
Mary tells Jesus about the situation at the time, but she is initially rejected.
But this time, he tells the servants, “Do whatever he tells you to do.”
Because he knew that the only person who could solve the problem was Jesus.
When Jesus comes into our lives and into our homes, problems will be solved.
2. Experience the love of Jesus.
Christianity does not promise to solve one-time problems.
It's not like a shaman is fussing, it's not over when the problem is solved.
Rather, Christianity values relationships.
Verse 31 says, “He went and took his hand and raised him up, and the fever left him, and the woman served them.”
However, the Gospel of Matthew, which recorded the same scene, said, “He touched his hand, and the fever went away, and the woman got up and ministered to Jesus.” The Lord shows us the kindness of Jesus.
3. It is to become a servant (verse 31, second half).
Here, 'servant' is to emphasize that we continued to serve in the imperfect past tense.
It means that you have served and devoted your entire life, not just serving once, just because you received treatment once.
Luke 8:1-3 “After this, Jesus went through towns and villages, proclaiming the kingdom of God and preaching the gospel, and the twelve disciples were with him.
And certain women, who had been healed of and cast out of demons, Mary, who was called Magdalene, from whom seven demons had gone out,
And Joanna, the wife of Cuzah, a steward of Herod, and Susanna and many other women were with them, and they served them with their possessions.”
Luke 23:55 “The women who had come with Jesus from Galilee followed and saw the tomb and how his body was laid.”
There are two kinds of ministers in the church.
There are those who serve without receiving grace and those who serve with grace.
The former does not last long.
But the latter goes all the way.
We hope that all the members of the Korean Church in Malacca will be recognized by the Lord who will serve to the end through the thrill of salvation and grace.
Organize your words.
Jesus worked the same way both inside and outside the synagogue.
Power is revealed when the Word is proclaimed.
The evil devil flees in ten ways.
Also, when Jesus of that power comes into our lives, the problem is no longer a problem, but a medium through which we experience miracles.
You will experience love.
And with the power of that love, you will live a life of devotion and serving before the Lord.
Example) Assembly (Picasso's 'Bull's Head')
Just as scraps become works of art when they fall into the hands of an artist, when they are held by Jesus, they become a luxury life.
