Title: The Miracle of Oh Byeong-e
Contents
34 When Jesus came out and saw a large crowd, he had compassion on them because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he taught them various things. and town? Go and buy something to eat. 37 He answered and said, "Give me something to eat." He said to him, "Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii loaves and feed them? 38 He said to him, "How many loaves do you have? Go and see." He looked up and said, "Five loaves and two fish. 39 He commanded the disciples to make them all sit in groups on the green grass, and in groups of 40, some hundred and some fifty. 41 Jesus took the five loaves and the two fish, looked up to heaven, gave thanks, and broke the loaves. And he gave them to his disciples to set them before the people, and he gave the two fish to everyone. 42 They all ate, 43 and the remaining pieces of bread and the fish were gathered in twelve baskets full. 44 The men who ate the loaves were five thousand.
1. Words that begin
There are many different thoughts and actions. First, as the saying goes, ‘arms bend inward,’ there are people who have thoughts and actions that are governed by emotions. They think and act on emotions, whether rational or irrational, right or wrong, profit or loss. Second, there are those whose thoughts and actions are governed by selfishness. They have no interest in everything else, they are only interested in their own interests. Third, there are those whose thoughts and actions are governed by rationality. In everything they do, they seek what makes sense or logic. Fourth, there are people whose thoughts and actions are governed by morality. In everything they do, they pursue the good, which is the duty of human beings.
People who think and act according to rationality or morality are called rational people. However, the Lord commands all human beings, including rational humans, to be saved through faith and to think and act by faith that transcends reason.
2. Disciples worried about the crowd's food
Jesus in the desert was teaching the gospel to the great crowd. In Matthew 14:14, he even healed the sick who were in the midst of a great crowd. It must have taken a lot of time to do all this, but the time, place, and hunger were forgotten by Jesus, who passionately taught the gospel, and the great crowd who listened intently to the gospel.
However, as the time went down, the disciples came to Jesus and said, “This is a deserted place, and it is getting late, so send the crowd away so that they can go to the villages and villages to buy and eat something.” The disciples' suggestion of direction was a very natural thing to say and act from a rational point of view.
But here we see the contrast between Jesus, who is passionate about feeding the food of the spirit, and the disciples, who are concerned about the food of the flesh. Also, instead of the religious thinking that believes in the messianic power of Jesus, we can see the disbelief of the disciples who follow their rational thinking. The disciples' rational and static thoughts, words, and actions, not religious thoughts, broke the atmosphere of the feast of the divine Word. Also, it has resulted in hindering Jesus, who does not know the passing of time and teaches the truth of eternal life.
3. Jesus' command and the disciples' spiritual ignorance
Hearing the disciples' suggestions for direction, Jesus said, "You give them something to eat." The disciples went out of focus again by asking, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii worth of bread to feed?” When Jesus said, “You give them something to eat,” while fully aware that the disciples did not have enough food to feed such a large crowd, he was expecting religious thinking that transcends rational and static thinking. However, without realizing it, the disciples are doing two hundred denarii with rational thinking. Jesus felt that the disciples felt frustrated, and the disciples felt that Jesus was frustrated.
Since one denarii was a worker's daily wage, it was impossible to feed a large crowd of five thousand men with two hundred denarii. This point was well known to Jesus and all his disciples. Then Jesus had a different purpose in telling his disciples to feed a large crowd. Jesus wanted to see the faith of the disciples who believed in the creation and omnipotence of God revealed in him. Unfortunately, the result was disappointing. How disappointed Jesus must have been when he saw the disciples who had heard the truth of the gospel and witnessed or experienced many messianic wonders and miracles, but still did not believe in him properly.
The contrast between the spiritual thinking of Jesus and the rational thinking of the disciples continued. Jesus said to his disciples, “Go and see, how many loaves do you have?” The disciples looked up and answered, “There are five loaves and two fish.” In John 6:8 and below, “Andre, one of the disciples, Simon Peter’s brother, said to Jesus, ‘Here is a little boy, who has five barley loaves and two fish. I did. It reveals rational thinking that keeps arguing with Jesus in front of him. Faith in the divine love and messianic power of Jesus cannot be found unless you look for it.
Our Lord Jesus works miracles through the members of the church who believe in the messianic love and power of the Lord Jesus, not the members who have rational or static thoughts, not the thoughts of faith.
There were all kinds of horrific noises, such as bankruptcies during construction, that it was taken to a bank, and that the pastor fled to the United States. But in the end, it was completed according to the faith of the believers. It is said that tens of thousands of people gather now.
The disciples needed this kind of faith. Instead of asking, ‘How much would five loaves and two fish be for a large group?’ It should be enough.’ No, the little child who liked and trusted Jesus offered five bowls of fish.
4. Pure Offerings That Worked Miracles
When the disciples looked for food, no one offered them. Some of the people who knew that Jesus didn't know the passing of time when he was intoxicated with sermons might have brought a packed lunch, but no one provided food for Jesus. There was no one offering before the Lord Jesus, who demanded to feed everyone. Maybe it is? They are stingy about planting seeds that will receive blessings while saying they will receive blessings.
However, a little foolish child who does not know how to judge, is not clever, and does not know how to satisfy my greed, offered five bottles of fish to Jesus whom he liked and trusted. This child was not dedicated to knowing the great miracle that would happen shortly thereafter. Because the Lord was looking for it, I just gave it with a pure heart without calculating back and forth.
Among the many people who pride themselves on being God's chosen people, although it is a bit late, there was hardly anyone who could not resist the shame to see the child who was being sacrificed, or to donate because of face. Unbelievers sometimes do unwanted things reluctantly because of face, but church members with pathological beliefs do not even think of faith for the sake of selfish greed. No matter how difficult you may be in your religious thoughts and actions, you must maintain the level of face you hold according to your position in the church. If you are an executive with an office, you must attend, serve, be loyal, evangelize, and give more diligently than other members of the church.
Jesus, who was willing to accept a child's little food or a heartfelt offering, had his disciples make a large crowd to sit on the grass. Although he did not obey the command to give, he obeyed the command to keep order and sit down to feed, and sat down in groups of fifty or one hundred. After taking the five bowl fish offered by the little child, looking up to heaven and giving thanks, Jesus gave it to his disciples to distribute to all the people. As a result, the large crowd of 5,000 men ate all of them, and there were twelve baskets left. The rest will be up to the devoted child.
5. Conclusion
The crowds who came to Jesus to obtain spiritual food received not only spiritual food, but also their physical hunger. The miraculous grace and blessings of the Lord Jesus are given abundantly and abundantly. It was the gift of a child's pure heart that revealed the marvelous messianic power of the Lord Jesus. I hope that the gifts and offerings we make with our religious thoughts, our service and devotion with our thoughts of faith, our loyalty and evangelism will become the miracles of Oh Byeong-Eye. I hope that our faith and love for the Lord Jesus will be a miracle solution for all people.
