Title: The Mission of Care Text: Colossians 1:28-29
In the old days, we lived in poverty, but we lived a life where everyone cared for each other. Even though it was difficult and difficult, there were hearts that cared for, thought, and considered each other. So those days were a good time. It shows that caring for each other is very important in life. To raise a person as a Christian, it takes a mother's heart and sacrifice. You need a life like your mother. You need companionship like your mother. We are all poor people. These are the people who feel the lack of faith and live. That's why they need warm consideration and care just like small children. What is the Lord's lament for this generation? It is a lack of empathy and caring. Matthew 11:17 “It is like saying, “We played the flute for you, but you did not dance; we wept, but you did not beat our hearts.” We need a church like this now. We need these saints.
1. The ministry of care is the ministry of recommendation.
(Colossians 1:28) “We preached him and persuaded every man.” The word admonishment refers to teaching or admonishing something that is not well done. Caring is not just about protecting. It means teaching and admonishing us to live rightly, to act rightly, and to believe rightly. Through this admonition, it is established correctly. However, there is a rule to discipline. The first is that it must be done through the Word of God. We must not judge by the thoughts of the one who disciplines us. Because no matter how right I may seem, others may not. Second is love?
