Title: The Misunderstood Lord

Contents

20010211 "Lord who is misunderstood" <Luke 22:35-38>

Today's text concludes the discussion of the Last Supper. In this Last Supper, Jesus explained how important it was to his death, and the Bible told us how ignorant the disciples were, yet to such disciples the Lord gave them heaven. He was preparing the disciples by handing them over. In that passage, Peter said, "Lord, I am ready." But his preparation was only the beginning. The Lord's answer was, "With that determination, you have no choice but to deny me."

And in today's text, the Lord gives the final explanation of his own death. “Children, have I ever sent you on a missionary trip? At that time, you couldn’t fill your money bag, you couldn’t carry your forsythia, and you didn’t let you carry anything but a pair of shoes? ?" "No, there wasn't." "Now, it's different. If you have a purse, wear it. If you have a forsythia, carry it with you... But you need a knife.

Why is the Lord suddenly saying this? Did you change before you die? At that time, outerwear was so important that it protects from both the cold and the heat, so it could be number one on the property list... Are you selling it to buy a knife? Other Gospels say that those who take the sword will perish by the sword... Why? That's verse 37. There is a prophecy about Christ in Isaiah 53, because the passage “I was counted as a fellow of the lawless” must now be fulfilled in Jesus. No. What is the kin of the outlaw? Those who completely defy the law... What? yes thug This means that Jesus and his disciples are considered “thugs.” It's a thug organization. So what about Jesus? It's a thug boss. Then we...

No, my God, how can the Lord who preached the gospel of the kingdom to the poor, giving them breath, giving them hope, and healing the sick, could be misunderstood as a thug? Yes. It can be. You can do that. Jesus can be misunderstood. It is said that a new religion will arise when you enter Gyeryongsan with a Bible and come out after three years. The number of heretical sects in the Bible is uncountable. This all stems from a misunderstanding about Jesus.

Recently, a 57-year-old singer named Cho Young-nam, who is approaching his sixtieth birthday, makes special claims about Jesus, so it seems that TV and newspapers are a bit controversial. Last Friday evening, the young men showed me the newspaper, and yesterday Saturday morning Deacon Kim Yeon-tae called me, and I was having a meeting with the evangelists and saw it for a while. It's not worth mentioning at this precious time, so I don't need to talk about it long, but he insisted on his originality and spoke confidently as if he had read all the theological books of the East and West. I've been studying theology for 20 years now, so I can't really understand how to learn the Bible... How many teachers are better than me... Oh~ Really, misunderstandings and misunderstandings are free, but the blind are the blind If you lead the way, I think God will hold the responsibility.

Anyway, in the history of mankind, Jesus has been misunderstood so many times, that in a way it is already in the Bible. Jesus already knew it all. He knew he would suffer such a death that he would be mistaken for a "thug boss." And knowing that it is the fulfillment of prophecy, you are now walking on that path.

Have you ever been misunderstood? Have you ever been framed as a thief without guilt? I once heard a story about a young elementary school student who was framed as a thief and committed suicide out of shame. It's really sad to cry out that you can't live. Death that cannot be explained even after receiving such a misunderstanding must be very painful... Our Lord is going that way now.

In fact, this misunderstanding about the Lord was a ploy by the leaders of the Jewish people who crucified Jesus at the time. So I nailed two robbers on either side. However, in today's text, there is still another misunderstanding of the wrong disciples. When Jesus said to buy a sword, verse 38, “Here are two.” They are the disciples who do not understand the subject of Jesus' words at all. But this too is very similar to what we see today. In particular, even if you read the Bible, you always read only toward blessings, and you are picky about the Bible. Faith that only memorizes the phrases I like and believes only in it... It's not a false belief, it's a young, immature faith. It's like a child who doesn't eat rice and only eats sweets or chocolate. What? It must be dried. I have to feed For a healthy belief, you need to feed them evenly. There are tendencies that appear when you pick up the Bible. How to get 100% answers to your prayers. you'll like this The secret to success in business.

Jesus doesn't say "Yes..." to these disciples, but says "Enough" is enough, but how much will you change your mind? Still, we have lived together for three years... Why do the disciples do not know so much? Yes. Because they were only interested in "who is the greatest". Now, if the Lord drives out Rome and takes power, what position can I take? So, I do not listen to the Lord's words, intentions, or explanations.

Even after attending church for 20 or 30 years, if you are still only interested in receiving answers to prayers, fulfilling my wishes, and receiving many blessings, would you hear the word of the Lord? How beautiful would it be in the sight of the Lord to practice the love of the Lord, to serve the Church as the body of the Lord, to serve with talents, to pray and to keep God's justice and live upright. No matter how busy you are, if you thoroughly keep your priorities in life, and even if you get rich in material blessings, you give up injustice and keep your things, so if the Lord says, “Enough, enough,” then that voice will be a voice of joy.

This is the second half of Isaiah 53:12. "He gave up his soul to death, and was numbered among the transgressors, but in reality he bore the sins of many, and prayed for them." -Amen-
